Yea Delroy Lindo has a great story about working with Chadwick on The 5 bloods. He basically thought Chadwick let black Panther go to his head because after every scene he would fall down into a chair and people would come and massage his feet and the rest of his body between scenes. Then after Chadwick passed away he realized what was really going on. Guys on deaths door and succeeded at hiding it from everyone. Even his last movie everyone thought he was sick cause how skinny he was. He said it was for the role and everyone believed him. Even his cast mates.

I had a friend watch through the MCU last year. When he got to Black Panther, and saw T'Challa get thrown from the cliff, he thought Chadwick had died during filming and it elevated his reaction to when you see him alive in the ice. It adds a sad layer to the reaction, and it's bittersweet knowing we only get him for a few more appearances.

This film touches on a lot of topics and I love Ryan Cooglers vision because of it. Nakia was right from the jump and much like Martin and Malcolm the two women had the right answer from the start of things. The kings of the past weren’t perfect isolation and not assisting those under the boot came back to destroy them. Nigerian proverb, the child estranged by the tribe will burn it to feel the warmth the tribe withheld. Eric being part of the Black American diaspora and African is depicting really views and feelings, to be black in America and conscious is to be in a state of perpetual rage James Baldwin said and in many ways that is Eric’s condition. Revenge power and domination because of the mistakes of the distant and recent past. TChallas purpose turns into rectifying and improving the condition of others reconnecting the link for those like Eric. If they had started with trusting Nakias vision there is no movie lol. Erica final scene hits the nail on the head orphaned black boy left in Oakland believing in fairy tales profound when you look at the dreams someone can have in Wakanda vs Oakland. Not a piece on how Eric is a sympathetic character no he's a radicalized psychopath really. Its just showing how Nakia was right and the final speech was all to real.

Before I went to see this, I lost my grandfather. I wasn't there to say goodbye. I then had a dream where I was at a park and I saw him walking down some light stairs from the sky. I started sobbing and told him how sorry I was for not being there. He simply smiled and embraced me, telling me that he'll always love me and will be watching my back. I hugged back and allowed him to return to Heaven. I woke up crying. Every time I see the ancestral plane in this movie, it takes me back to that dream. Then I heard Chadwick passing away, it hurt me. Knowing he fought cancer as Black Panther with cancer proves just how compassionate he was in his work. He had a great impact on a lot of people. To many of us, he will always be the King of Wakanda. Rest in peace, Chadwick Boseman. You too, Grandpa.

Killmonger was such a cool character. He was severely wronged by King T'Chaka and went down the wrong path. I kinda wish they didn't kill him and brought him back later, either continuing as a villain or as a reformed hero. With the multiverse opening up, maybe they still can.

Such an awesome movie and can't wait to watch you seeing it. I've never felt emotionally hurt by the death of a public figure before. But this movie was such a much needed light in a very dark time. RIP Chadwick Bozeman. I used to work in a downtown office and started early in the morning so it was easy to watch movies during the week. So I wondered if it was worth seeing opening weekend or just watching during the week after work. And there was so much hype I didn't necessarily trust most reviewers to give me the unvarnished truth. But I was sure if it was overhyped Hollywood trash, Double Toasted would call it like they saw it. So I pulled up YT and typed "do" and YT prompted "double toasted black panther review" which suggests I wasn't the only one thinking that.

Killmonger walked there , but they have guards posted on the border. Hence why he was captured , he didn’t walk into a barrier. As you see in the film they flew the ship into the hologram . Foreign planes etc would not be allowed in Wakandan airspace ( that close to the city anyways ) . If they did they would see the hologram. The actual shield barrier can be raised around the city lol . Cant be worse than destroying 2 whole cities ( hulk / ultron fights ) in Avengers 2 lol
