This man filmed 7 movies battling cancer. He visited St. Jude to inspire children going through the exact same battle he was going through. A heart of pure gold, man. What a wonderful human being and an inspiration to all. He may have passed, but he won his battle. He won because he refused to let this dreadful disease control him and inspired millions in the process. And in then end, slipped out if his armour, laid down his shield and sword, and passed on. My deepest condolences, my thoughts, and my prayers go out to his family. Rest in peace, King Chadwick. Our Black Panther. As Angela Basette quoted in memorial to you, "Thou aren't not gone, but flown afar." #chadwickforever #wakandaforever

Three years ago…I saw Black Panther. It became one of my favorite films of all time. Chadwick not only killed his iconic role, but gave my people and other poc hope. I am so glad that I was put in this time period to experience this ride. Two years ago…I was waiting and wondering what was next for the sequel. I lost it was he reappeared in Endgame. I also lost it when a second film was in the work. I was looking and so proud of what was to come for the MCU. After phase 3’s conclusion, I said, what’s next?! One year ago…I received one the worst news of my life. Thinking that 2020 couldn’t get any worse, it did. August 28, 2020, was the day black people’s hope died. It was the day other poc hope died too. We lost and were left in a dark void asking fate, why him? He’s a hero, on and offscreen! He died because of cancer? He still filmed despite being sick?! That revelation and others made me realize one thing. Today…I see that Chadwick is everywhere. He gave his blood, sweat, and tears to entertain and empower us. I cried because he ascended to a greater plane. However, I didn’t realize until later that he was put in my heart. The same can be said for his friends, family and true fans. The legacy of Chadwick Boseman will NEVER die! We owe it to him to continue his legacy. No excuses! Getting the work done! Never giving up! Never surrender! Inspire! Hope! Acknowledge the light at the end of the tunnel! Chadwick, thank you for the memories. Thank you for entertaining and empowering my people. Thank you for doing the same for millions of people. One day, when I have children of my own, I will show them what impact you left on us. Black boys and girls, black men and women will talk about you for generations. As will anyone else that respects you. Thank you to our storyteller, son, brother, husband, Jackie Robinson, Thurgood Marshall, James Brown, and Black Panther. I hope that heaven is treating your soul well. I hope you and Stan are having a great time. I hope that you are looking over the great things your name is attached to. Thank you once more. I was very critical of the storytelling in Black Panther, but, just as with Civil War, I found T'challa to be the high point for both movies and that is because Chadwick Boseman carried such a pressence, and I remember thinking that the second movie would expand further on T'challa and Wakanda as a whole - sadly, the Black Panther 2 that we all wanted never happened, but even sadder, we lost Chadwick Boseman to colon cancer. The fact that this hero, in a culture of vapid Hollywood materialism, displayed such virtue in honour and duty, it's elevated Chadwick to heights that not many celebrities will ever reach in my eyes. Three years ago 😔 R.I.P Chadwick Boseman.

It's incredible that Black Panther onwards he was well aware he was in Stage 3/4 of the cancer yet he kept it private and continued to act out the role as he did during filming. It changes those movies in a whole new light knowing how much he committed of himself to the roles. Died too soon. Wakanda Forever.
