I always thought Storm was best when she was shacking up with my man, Forge. They went through some serious shit together back in the 80's. Hard, serious, deeply painful, large chunks of their lives together, and they managed to overcome it all and come out on top afterwards. T'Challa can't stack up next to Forge. Their relationship hardships have solely revolved around their political positions, and the vast scope of distance between their respective loyalties between the Avengers vs the X-Men, and how the xmen are perceived as second class at best, or criminals at worst. Or they fight over perceived obligations to an ungrateful nation/continent. It's all petty arguments for the sake of a story needing a chasm to open up between two happy characters for the drama. I've never liked Storm and T'Challa for all those reasons. Whenever they've finally gotten back together for a period of time and are happy and they prosper, some author HAS to contrive something petty for them to blow out of proportion and drive them apart again. It's like a Reverse Cock Tease.
