I just came back from second time watching the movie and I've spotted a few details. 1. Ramonda clearly wants to tell Shuri about T'Challas son in that scene on the shore right before Namor shows up. 2. Prince T'Challa is clearly seen as Ramonda visits Nakia and asks her to rescue Shuri.

I could be wrong, but wasn't that boy they were trying to save the same kid?? I couldn't really tell at that moment. But they made a point of making sure this one specific child was safe with no explanation, so I'm jumping to a conclusion. If it's not same kid, then whatever, I'm wrong.

Yeah I’m pretty sure having helped the Avengers save the universe means Wakanda could call on any of the Avengers or Avengers-adjacent characters to aid them. Otoh, they might not want to bring those characters into a Wakanda-focused story. We’ll have to wait and see how they handle it.

When Ramonda tells Shuri 'Show him who you really are', it's a callback to when she said the same thing to T'Challa during his duel with M'Baka (and T'Challa was seemingly about to be defeated). Nakia did not think that T'Challa died in the blip. In the scene she explains that T'Challa prepared both her and his son for his death. It is a call back to when T'Chaka told T'Challa, in the ancestral plane "A man who has not prepared his son for his death has failed as a father". Nakia, her son, and the Queen knew that he was dying. That made it more powerful for me.

I am absolutely speechless. Somehow my fellow USC alum Ryan coogler managed to both respectfully send off Chadwick and also make an even better movie than the first. This was what the MCU needed desperately after a lacklustre first few phase 4 entries. The story is arguably the most mature and best we’ve seen in a marvel film since the raimi days. The themes of grief, acceptance and forgiveness were masterfully done. Shuuri sparing Namor reminded me of the whole “hate only begets more hate” spill you see in shonen anime, but it was well done. Riri williams and Namor stole the show for me. Loved how their characters were done. Tenoch huerta has an incredibly bright future. Amazing actor. Was nice seeing Killmonger back on screen too! Also loved how well the mayan language was handled in the film. As a linguist/polyglot that’s always a plus. Introducing Prince T’chala in the mid credits scene was GREAT. That was one of the biggest theories coming into the film but since they went so long without doing it in the movie I was thinking maybe they wouldn’t do it

Namor is Roman spelled backwards. MCU just pandered to all of Latin America, by sticking Namor in a "Mesoamerican" skin suit, and ruining his character and the entire story of Atlantis. They just wanted your money. Instead of creating a new, unique, purely Mesoamerican character and world, they just took an established character, one with a long tradition, and spilled goo all over it. This was absolutely terrible. If Marvel really wanted to create diverse characters, they would create diverse characters. Not ruin established characters.

I think this movie is incredible. Firstly, it's just a beautiful piece of cinema. Not only are the visuals absolutely stunning with wide open shots of Wakanda but Namors utopia as well. The sound design was incredible as well. They chose the perfect scenes for it to be silent and when there was music, it fit the atmosphere. They allowed so much world building. All the characters felt needed and important. Very distinct and all needed for the plot to progress. The actors and actresses absolutely MURDERED thier roles. Everyone was so good in this movie, not a single person felt flat. Shuris character development was incredible. Seeing her refuse to pass on from her brothers death and burying herself in her work. Not burning his cloth to acknowledge his passing. The symbolism in this movie is amazing. Alot of the issues and exact things that are happening to Shuri and the Wakandans happened to Namor. The difference and similarities in actions was awesome to see and compare.

Glad so many people enjoyed it, appreciate that we all have varied tastes, but I agree with Steven Spielberg -- these Marvel movies are amusement/theme park rides and not cinema, and Black Panther Wakanda Forever fits that to a tee, stretched to 161 minutes to cram in as many steep hills, twists, turns and loop-the-loops as possible in the form of special effects and fights -- which is just a sub-genre of special effects. There is so little plot and character development that rings true; everything is predictable, characters are cardboard cut-outs, and the "pivotal" moments, also obvious before they happen, just turn those cut-outs in a new direction. It's not storytelling; it's a thrill ride. A lot of folks love thrills -- amusement parks are popular, after all. They will love Black Panther Wakanda Forever. If you love most Marvel movies, you will almost certainly love this one too. My nephews and niece, who wanted to go and were my reason for going to, enjoyed it, though they were not raving about it. As for me, in the Marvel universe, there are only several I really enjoyed: Ironman, Guardians of the Galaxy (in part because of a song list that is nearly identical to many of my all-time favorites -- I'm old), and Ant-Man.

Pretty much 99% of the film was convoluted and didn't make sense. The "Atlanteans" who weren't Atlanteans, instead of living in the ocean, live in a fresh water cenote. Yet they can speak to fish and sea mammals. They are only 500 years old, Atlantis is supposed to be 20,000 years old or something. They swam Orcas into an inland Wakandan lake and no one noticed....... They completely effed up Namor's character. "No Amore" was so dumb. I could go on and on.

Black Panther Wakanda Forever is a great film and introduces some interesting new MCU character that we will see again in future Marvel movies and Disney+ Series. Great music too, listen for the synths. A few standout aspects: - Namor, played by Tenoch Huerta gives a Thanos like performance. He speaks quietly and eloquently, while he tries to charm Shuri, so you are on his side. Then he turns into an enemy who wants to burn down the surface world, starting with Wakanda. He will return in future Marvel films, which is great news. - Angela Bassett carries the beginning of the movie, with an Oscar worthy emotional performance. She is the heart of the movie. - Shuri's Black Panther suit is like Spider-man's integrated suit, with so much gold metal everywhere. She takes on the title of Black Panther late in the film. Shuri is more Killmonger than T'Chala, filled with rage and revenge. So she will mature into a wise and more thoughtful Black Panther. She is technically still a teenager, like Peter Parker. - I like how Nakia saves the day in the middle of the film as a War Dog and that creates the plot twist. - Okoye's arc takes an interesting path after she is fired as leader of the Dora Milaje and becomes a Midnight Angel. - The Talokan underwater scenes are like the upcoming Avatar film which takes place under the sea, spectacular. - Val #ElainefromSeinfeld, the CIA Director, and Ross were once married, so she rags on him the whole movie. #Funny

Just watched Wakanda today. It was very emotionally moving. The entire movie is about passing of our loved ones and how we deal with that grief. We knew Nakia got knocked up (planned) by the Black Panther in order to preserve his legacy. Damn those colonizer still greedy about their vibranium. 😅

Just saw the movie and I was so amazed how they were able to keep the same energy but with more emotional depth. I loved the movie and once again I feel properly represented by the amazing cast.

3:30, I did not interpret Queen Ramona seeing visions of T'Challa on the ancestral plane. She said she feels him in the breeze. At the end of the movie, when Shuri burns the clothes and feels the breeze, it cuts to scenes of Chadwick as T'Challa.

I got emotional I just watch it. This is the best film. This is from the heart I'm completely speechless.

I actually don't see a problem with Shuri doubting Bast exists. She's essentially a science focused sceptic. Sure, Thor did show up, but it's also made somewhat evident Thor is an alien. He also HAPPENS to be a god, but she knows nothing about those specifics.
