“Black Paris” Follows Steps of Famous African Americans

Paris is home to many people of African descent who have helped shape important parts of Parisian culture. Among them, novelist Richard Wright and entertainer, Josephine Baker, are the only two African Americans memorialized in Paris. VOA’s Haydé Adams FitzPatrick traveled to the French capital where she joined a tour group guided by Julia Browne that explored the African influence.
