Today was a much-needed rest day on our Black Peak Expedition 2024, focused on acclimatization and training.
Instead of trekking, we spent the day practicing with our equipment. The Discovery Hike team trained us on using various gear, including rappelling, jumars, and more. We spent the entire day walking around Colfax, getting accustomed to the conditions and equipment.
As the day progressed, the weather began to change unexpectedly, and we experienced a sudden snowstorm, adding an extra layer of adventure to our training.
