Yup but Rogan apologized and acknowledged what he said was wrong. He took accountability. No one made him apologize. That’s just what adults do when they know they messed up. My issue is many try to dismiss it as just a word. Saying well rappers say it. So what’s the big deal. No rapper is saying igger. They say igga. All this victim blaming is a deflection and excuse. If it’s just a word go to work and use it in a professional setting. People of all groups call each names but that does mean it’s ok for me to say it. I’ve heard lgbt people call each other the f word. Doesn’t mean I won’t be punished for saying it. Also that man used apes to describe black people and he himself said it was racist after saying it. I don’t get the defense. He said it was disgusting and racist. Jewish people and Asians have an executive order for protection. This wouldn’t even be a conversation if he said k word to Jewish people or c word about Chinese people. That’s my issue. We as black people told to get over slavery. If you notice, cancel culture can only destroy entities in which the "talent" has no power. Lil Wayne and Rick Ross got dropped but companies that endorsed them, not by their labels. "You have a black body and a white brain, best of two worlds" does strike me as very ugly thing to say, but I do question why it is that praising the athleticism of black bodies doesn't seem to be the problem, but somehow pointing out that whites have been great at mental activities strikes as very racist but I don't think it should be. First of all, saying black bodies are supreme at athleticism is NOT to say that white bodies are INCAPABLE of athleticism. it's just that when you look on sporting events, you can generally bet on the black person to win. Just because there is a number 1 doesn't mean number 2 sucks, is my point. Let me just contrast it by looking within the whites to see that hey, there's a difference there too. For example, german engineering has widely been recognized to be superior among the whites and serbian basketballers are superior in european standard. Is it racist towards the slavic european to point that out? Let's say someone is half serbian and half german, would it be racist to point out "you have the body of the serbs and the brains of the germans. Best of two worlds". Would that be racist? Perhaps you say no because both are whites, or perhaps you think slavery needs to be involved somewhere for there to be an issue, if so, I'll have you know that the word SLAVE has its roots from the SLAVS as a people, because they were enslaved at numerous times by various peoples, not least at all not to long ago in northern europe BY germans. So even with a direct connection between germans enslaving slavs, I still feel no qualms about "you have the best of two worlds, the basketball body of a serb, and the brain of a german". I think it's not racist because it's suppose to point out what one group EXCELS at, rather than what the other group IS BAD at. But even with all that said, saying it feels yucky and I guess that's only because of the social stigma around the race topics, especially if it involves african americans
