I love this anime :D After watching the Black Rock Shooter OVA, I knew I had to make an AMV of it. It only took me two days to make. Sorry about the quality though, at the time, I couldn't find a good quality version of B.R.S. -But of course I now found a better quality version.
---This video was fairly easy to make, I didn't use many effects for this one, but I did really have to edit some clips to make it flow the way I needed it to. A lot of the fight scenes cut away to another scene, so it was hard at some points to keep the fight seem like it was continuing from a point.

This is the OVA, the original Black Rock Shooter, kind of a pitch or pilot episode to get an anime going. They changed up some story elements in the anime that were different in the OVA. Honestly both are great though. So check it out :)

@BloodWolf345 actually no, BRS the OVA came out before the game, that's why it has a totally different plot, see the anime is basically a pilot episode to a potentially upcoming series, the PSP game is going to be taking place in the realm where the Black Rock Shooter is, not where the 2 girls are :) I know, it's confusing for me too, haha

And thats why I prefer the OVA more. It's very artistic and I love the way they drew Mato, theres to much fight scene going on in the anime and they over did it with the emotion in the anime, they also made Yomi look like a fool in the anime series. I never really gave in to 3d animations but I love that they put Insane Black Rock Shooter in it, but still extremely predictable... Not a fighter, I'm kinda a talker :) Despite all this, I shouldn't go against your opinions. Yomi's cat face/OVA

@stefi6666 The problem is the plot DOESN'T explain itself. What happens: Two girls meet, become close friends. One girl meets another girl, and the second girl feels lonely. She disappears into another world as the Dead Master, and the first girl meets Black Rock Shooter and they become one. She saves the second girl from Dead Master and back in the real world; they're back to being friends. Is it symbolic? Are BRS and DM their souls? Possessing Spirits? We don't know.

They kept the focus more on Mato and Yomi, and Yuu kind of taking Mato away from Yomi to the point where she got jealous. There's no side characters really like the episodes. But the OVA is still good. It also has a bit different art style. That's about it. But I'm sure you can find the OVA on youtube, Check it out :)

@stefi6666 it's hard to explain, you'd have to watch it for yourself to get a full understanding of it, and even then, the plot is very confusing, so you won't get it right away, but the anime is very recommended

Actually there's only a pilot episode of the OVA which is like 5 minutes long, the actual OVA, a stop motion animation, and an anime which only has 8 episodes.
