BLACK SABBATH ALBUMS RANKED FROM WORST TO BEST.
In todays video I'm going to rank all Black Sabbath full-length albums, the whole discography from their self-titled 1970 debut album Black Sabbath through their last release 13. But also all other classic albums like Paranoid, Heaven and Hell, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Vol 4, Master of Reality, Born Again and Mob Rules. Ranking videos are my personal favorite, and today we're going to rank the godfather's of all things heavy metal, Black Sabbath. From the Prince of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne years to the Dio era of the early eighties to the decade with Tony Martin and of course all the albums in between. Black Sabbath started out with Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Bill Ward and Ozzy Osbourne but over the years there have been numerous lineup changes but one thing has always been constant, Tony Iommi and those massive riffs! Enjoy!

Great list! Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is my favorite Ozzy/Sabbath album, and I also feel Heaven and Hell is the best album with the name Black Sabbath on it.

i agree with your ranking of Heaven & Hell as #1. Not only the best Black Sabbath album but one of the greatest metal albums of all-time. Regarded by many musicians and fans as their springboard into Sabbath. Geezer said in his book that there were two versions of Sabbath with Dio and Ozzy and both were equally great.

Both are great versions of the band. I am in the minority here, but I actually prefer Ozzy’s solo career over his time with Sabbath. I have always been a huge RJD fan. I actually really enjoy their debut album a lot. I think for me it may have dropped a little on my ranking because of how many times I have heard it. There is no denying that it is probably the single most influential metal album of all time. Check out Zakk Sabbath’s Vertigo album if you haven’t heard it, it is an excellent recreation of Sabbath’s debut. Thanks for watching!🤘🤘

The Devil You Know is a Sabbath album. It was business shenanigans from Sharon that forced the name switch. But when it's the same lineup as two other sabbath albums, then it's a sabbath album.

This must have been hard to do! Simply because the sheer variations of styles between each MK of the group. Depending on mindset and what you're in the mood for, ranking between for example Master of Reality, The Eternal Idol, Born Again or Heaven and Hell is difficult business. They have such different tastes on the palate, so to speak. That being said I can't believe you put "Dehumanizer" so far down in the rankings... That is a GREAT album! Certainly better than Technical Ecstasy and Never Say Die! To each their own.

Yes It can be difficult, but realistically it’s just a fun way to interact with people like yourself that have a common interest in music. Music can be very subjective and we all hear things differently. Personally, I prefer the Dio era of Sabbath but I prefer Ozzy once they both were focusing on their solo careers. Forbidden is NOT my least favorite sabbath album. I'd put Seventh Star and Headless Cross(star is the least sabbath sounding, HC just has too much synth in the mix for my taste). The Devil you Know IS absolutely a Sabbath album. It's the same lineup as Mob Rules and Dehumanizer. That was a business decision to NOT confuse each version of the band. I believe Sharon/ozzy had a lot to do with this. I believe it's petty, but I've view the Dio lineup and kinda the Heaven and hell lineup, so it doesn't bother me.

we both have the same #1 album ,im such a big R J D fan i first heard him sing with rainbow,then sabbath and Dio ,before the internet in the 80s my older brother who is awesome walked in one day and laid the Elf album in front of me ,i think i was 15 it was around 86 ,he had tons of good albums ,if you havint checked out Elf i highley recomend it ,there cover of war pigs is great,love your show bro

My ranking: 20. Headless Cross(those awful 80's synths kill it for me. Also, for a supposedly'dark' record, I feel a happy vibe from a couple of the tunes. Subtract those two tracks and dim those synths....I'd feel totally different). 19. Seventh Star(it's not bad, it just feels the least like sabbath). 18. Forbidden(not their best, but not nearly as bad as its reputation) - 17. Cross Purposes(having Geezer present makes a difference) 16. The Devil You Know(didn't grab me immediately, it's a grower that kept getting better with each listen) 15. Never Say Die(NOT heavy, nor metal, but it's adventurous, 'outta the box' Sab.) 14. TYR(Annu Mundi 🔥) 13. 13(h I view this as a 16 song project, rather than just the 8-10). 12. Heaven & Hell(The title track is my favorite DioSab tune). 11. The Eternal Idol(very good album, overlook 10. Born Again(Ian and Tony sound phenomenal together) 9. Mob Rules 8. TekEx (being lesser than 1-6 doesn't mean it sucks) 7. Dehumanizer(my fav DioSab) 6. @@andjusticeforearl4742 The reason most of the Ozzy era is so low is because I can't stand his voice, the instrumental playing are soo great yet Ozzy's voice ruins it to me. Dio however is my favorite singer, I think he fits perfectly well on the albums he did with Sabbath. As for Tony Martin I really enjoy the first three albums with him, the last two are kinda meh, on Eternal Idol I have to say I prefer Ray Gillen on songs like The Shining (Which has my favorite riff of all time), Eternal Idol and Born to Loose, while Tony's vocals shine on songs like Glory Ride, Ancient Warrior and Nightmare.

I agree with your listing, Ozzy's horrible vocals ruin early Sabbath for me, but the music remains awesome. I prefer Dio, Gillian and Hughes.
