I said it once and i'll say it again, it seems that a lot of artists don't understand their own music, Ozzy Osbourne hated the album The Ultimate Sin and some of Black Sabbath members never said something good about the album Forbidden, i loved the album back in 1995, i was the first one to buy the album in my city, i still love the album today, the song Sick And Tired has a great drum intro and a great guitar solo by Tony Iommi but nobody in the band ever mentioned that song, there is only one bad thing about the album, the production, the album sold more copies than the album Born Again, Black Sabbath had two main problems in 1995, a bad label and a bad producer, i saw most of the live shows from Forbidden tour on KZbin, some of the shows were highly energised, most of the Forbidden albums were sold in the USA, so after all is said and done this album deserves more love, thanks for the Documentary video.

I have to admit as a kid who got into Black Sabbath when I was barely over 12 (and have been into all different kinds of music over years and back into my favorites again) I have never listened to the Tony Martin era Sabbath but after seeing this and a few other things online I’ll have to give it a chance. He is an excellent singer, musician and frontman from what I’ve seen 👍💯

So glad he did .for all the posers that think this is rubbish ...let them think what they want....everyone has there opinions...! This album led to reformation of the original band ! Tony martin ...! Is so underrated! Hope one day .they start a new band ....the Headless Cross perhaps !

Im a huge Black Sabbath fan from way back. Well, way back to my teen years. Since i was born in 69, those albums are Heaven and hell and beyond... By the time the mid 80s came i was branching out to other music. From Thrash to Alternative and Grunge. Though i hate all of those tittles. Nothing worse than how these "intelligensia" come up with these genre goddamn names is beyond me. But anyhow, i had stopped listening just before Tony Martin had come in. Hell, i didnt even know he existed, or any of those 90s albums. Now i just bought their entire discography on the Rhino box set, and its amazing. I specially love Forbidden! Cross Purposes is not bad either. Dehumanizer is amazing as well. Just alot of great music i missed out on. Thanks for making these documentaries and help catching me up! Amazing job. 😊🤘😊

I must say the new remixed albums sound much better and as a long time Black Sabbath fan I think looking back over history it is clear to me that Tony Martin is the best singer the band ever had because of his voice and range he is the only one who could sing any song on all 19 albums.

Nice work. I enjoyed the documentary quite a bit as I was "there" during the album and tour stop. Martin sounded good on both this album and the previous "Cross Purposes". Might be viewed as low point in Sabbath's discography, but far better than at least a few other Sab albums. Tough luck being a name band for SO long with such a storied, legendary body of work! I enjoy the music and the confidence, misguided or not of musicians creating art.

One of the first sabbath albums I bought. For a long time I only listened to I won’t cry for you and kiss of death (and they are still my favorite songs from that album) but I learned to appreciate the other songs too. I feel an old school vibe in that album and also a very rush feeling. Maybe if they had more time to polish the sound and refine the compositions it would have been better.

To me this is actually a lot like ZZ Top Eliminator there isn't a single song I can say I don't like even though some are better than others. Some of Martin's live stuff was a bit weak but where he's got his voice it is pretty amazing and the band could really rock in this lineup. Saw Sabbath, first and only time, with Ozzy about a decade ago now. A must see, but I would have so loved to have seen this! I never even knew this existed until recent years it was so poorly promoted. The talk of a Sabbath tour in Australia being cancelled, that I may have heard but it's so long ago I can't be sure.
@ThemFuzzyMonsters
@ThemFuzzyMonsters 3 ай бұрын
IMHO, Black Sabbath started becoming less popular from about 1985 on, with a small resurgence in 1992 when Dio rejoined briefly. By 1993 Tony Martin’s big vocals just didn’t fit the times very well and the band wasn’t marketed as effectively as Ozzy was. The production level on those ’90s Black Sabbath tours was getting smaller (no more stage props), the venues were often smaller, so the live material we get to see now is mostly bootlegs, or not very well put together in the first place.

It just sucks that people in the 90's had the audacity to tell venerable musicians like Black Sabbath they needed to modernize. How well did that work out? They couldn't have just let them be and do what they do. Then in 2013, they told them they had to go back to the first album! It's such a bad thing to do. Iommi knows best.

For me , nothing is Black Sabbath other than the original 4 members . That said , because of the professionalism / experience and raw talent ( especially Tony Martin in this case ) there have been some great shows / tracks and albums ( usually with awful artwork / covers in my view ) along the way . There is more to Tony Martin's vocals than heavy rock / metal . I think he would be perfect to work again with Iommi and Bill Ward in a post Sabbath project leaning slightly more towards jazz / blues ( not unlike the earliest Sabbath material ) .

This guy sounds like a 'poor mans Dio', but i never liked anything after Ozzy left. Hard to believe the guy with the least amount of vocal 'chops' was the best, and Geezer wrote the best lyrics, but thats the case here. anybody who tells Cozy Powell how to play drums is fucking up. Im a big Bill Ward fan- He was THE 'Sabbath' drummer, nobody 'swings' like Bill, but Cozy's albums w Jeff Beck Group and Rainbow are SO great, its sad how ignorant the public can be.😢
