This is a truly unique and legendary performance on TopPop of Black Sabbath, the British heavy metal band.
The band was formed in 1968 by Ozzy Osbourne (vocals), Tony Iommi (lead guitar), Terence "Geezer" Butler (bass guitar), and Bill Ward (drums).
In this line up they recorded in 1970 the album 'Paranoid' with the single of the same name.
This album reached #1 in the album charts in the UK and the Netherlands and #2 in Germany and Denmark.
The single reached #4 in the UK, #3 in Austria, #1 in Germany and #2 in Switzerland. In the Netherlands it reached #2 in the Top 40 on 24 October 1970.
This is one of the most legendary TopPop recordings ever! It was first broadcast on 29 September 1970.

This confirms my suspicions, the Heart & Missing Persons songs sounded too much like the studio version vs a live version, and now the guitar/bass have no cable plugging in! Lip Syncing!! Unlike UKs Top of the Pops where they performed live.
