Released on Feb 13, 1970, the critics hated this album, the kids loved this album, so different, so original. In less than a year, on Sept 18, 1970 Black Sabbath released the Paranoid album, there was no stopping them as they were on a path with destiny. Black Sabbath put out 6 fantastic albums (Black Sabbath to Sabotage) from Feb 13, 1970 to July 28, 1975. Not only were they masters, Sabbath were prolific too. I am so enjoying you two's journey into Black Sabbath, so when is Che going to get a Sabbath shirt ? Are you guys doing all the albums?

You have to remember... This was our entertainment. No videos. If we wanted to see them, it was in concert. All the albums back then were usually entire stories. We studied the albums covers...the posters and sleeves. Listened to the entire albums. Totally different time. When a Song played on the radio, we knew immediately by sound which group it was. All of them were unique.

Sabbath is one of the very few bands that all the planets were aligned and the gears of the universe were in sync when these four specific people came together. Same as Zeppelin and The Doors and a few other bands. Sabbath were the architects of metal, the godfathers of metal.

Amazing. The song goes from jazz, to HIP HOP (at least some sort of early version), to classical flamenco guitar, to blues soloing, back to that cool jazz/hip hop combo….all while creating the heavy metal feel. Black Sabbath were visionaries.

One of the only Black Sabbath songs I know of where Tony Iommi didn't play his Gibson SG Special; he played a white Fender Strat, his main guitar at the time (his SG Special was his backup). But while recording Black Sabbath's debut album, one of the Strat's pickups died and Tony used his SG Special throughout the rest of the album and used Gibson SG and SG-stylr guitars almost exclusively since then.!!! Luv u guys the best REACTION team on the internet!!!

They were the ever-changing with Fripp being at its center. I seen him in 2017 and it was one of the best concert I've ever been to. My first concert was Grand funk back in sixty-nine or seventy. Love your shows and I hope that you check out.Dada.

I read somewhere that this was the first song recorded when they laid these tracks out. You've mentioned this before, but its obvious from this beginning that Sabbath was a fully formed outfit with their own sound and lane. And they plowed their way through it like a road grader.

Wait until you hear Warning! Please remember this is there first album! The chemistry was automatic. They made their point, that back then there was a whole other side of life that they wanted the world not to overlook. And it continued. The great music and the great, but scary message. But it worked, because it was real. Love them or hate them, after you hear them you will respect them! Nuff said, sorry so long of a comment.

Yo... 😂 you guys nailed it when you said the guitar was lower than the bass. They wanted to sound as big as possible bc Tony Iommi had chopped off his finger tips. So in result, he would use light gauge guitar strings and play power chords (Root, Fifth and Octave). And Geezer would use allot of power chords as well. Wich gave them a thicker sound. Then later they down turned from E (a-440hz) to C# from Master Of Reality onward.
