Ian Gillans very high, powerful and clear screams in the beginning of this song at 0:58 were probably the very last ones of his career. You can clearly hear how his voice failed after that, especially in the 2. verse. From once powerful to pityful. He really changed his vocal style after that, as you can hear on Deep Purple's "Perfect Strangers" where he started to sing more in the mid range without this stratospheric screams.

I agree. Unfortunately this particular show was not his finest hour, but it's nevertheless great, to me.
