I put the transcript on then forward through the cigarette ads. After 35 years, they make me want one! I love the shows. Dragnet and Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar are two of my favourites, (also Suspense!)

Those were the days. Operators were one of the jobs that were mostly women. Secretaries were another one. How many modern secretaries can write/read short hand? The younger generation isn't even taught cursive anymore.

Too many disruptive audio glitches and, yeah, the old ads are nostalgic and even educational, but we're probably also (as now, for me personally) unwelcome when first aired. Still, I hit like. The shows were superb.

The constant squeaks and other distortions make it impossible to sleep to. These episodes are elsewhere on YT without all the annoying glitches.

There’s Old Time Radio Researchers, channel, who plays just the half hour regular show. I played one of these and my battery died by morning. So I seen my mistake. 30 minutes, and good night Irene! Happy listening.

The old time radio channels I enjoy take the time and effort to edit out all of the old outdated cigarette advertisements. I enjoy Johnny Dollar without all of the Rexall drug store spots. If you want my time, put in the effort!!
