Black Shark is seriously making some great phones and with the latest 5 Pro, they've upped their flagship a notch in ways we never thought possible. This is by far the best audio experience on a gaming smartphone ever, and that's even compared to the previous champion, none other than the 4 Pro.

Everyone speaks about this phone.. I am interested in good speakers so that's definitely my go-to. Awesome review! Previous owner of Xiaomi Mi10 Pro, I was super impressed, although I was using 3rd party EQ. I can't wait to listen to this Black Shark 5 Pro in person!

​​@@Simplified360 So I purchased this phone a couple of months ago and OH MY GOD! WTF are these speakers??? I'm honestly blown away!! You don't even need an equalizer for ANY kind of song; from the most harsh to the most clean song. These speakers are dope. With EQ you would only make the slightest changes, IF ANY. And the volume, oh my god, they are LOUD. Just phenomenal. Amazing gaming machine too. It runs smoothly, never slows me down in every day use and the battery is fine too. Not perfect, but fine. But hey, with 120W charge, who the fk cares. Even today, after 2-3 months of owning it, I still haven't realized what kind of a beast this is. Speakers are top notch. Trust me. Edit: Forgot to mention camera. Camera can't compete with the top phone cameras out there, BUT it's still amazing quality. I compared it with Xiaomi Mi11T Pro and they were identical!!! Also, the recording audio quality?? Dude, I went to a music studio, the band was a metal band and they were playing FREAKING LOUD AS FK. You needed earplugs or kiss your ears goodbye. Yet this machine recorded the whole thing with ZERO, yes ZERO distortion. I put the audio track on my computer and it's just fking amazing

turns out I've been listening to music in Spotify and Tidal with normalize volume on. Quality jumped even higher with it off. But u can't go high volume and it cuts off in some cases with heavy bass. That was a disappointment. Guess I'll use normalize volume again:D

Hello, nice review! Any idea what exactly audio DAC this Black Shark has got? Is it ESS Sabre or something else? Because there's only info that it is 'independent hi-fi chip'... but I'm an audiophile and that is key feature for me...

Only serious question i have is will it work with Android Auto without the audio going flat? I've already had the Red Magic 6 and currently have the Red Magic 7 pro and both make the audio go flat through Android Auto.

@@H.Vishnu I own Black Shark 5 Pro for a while now and the phone is phenomenal. But Black Shark isn't going so well lately. The phone is just good at audio, the rest are debatable. It's focused on gaming and audio but the overheating is an issue. The only department that it beats ROG 7 Ultimate at is the price lol. ROG 7 Ultimate is a lot better spec-wise but I'm also thinking it's better in audio bcuz of that added subwoofer. It's insane. We also can't expect Black Shark 6 anytime soon, bcuz like I said, Black Shark isn't going so well lately, which also has an impact on phone updates

@@H.Vishnu Not to mention that Black Shark 5 Pro speakers will not play as good in max volume and that's a fact nobody is saying. Sure maybe on KZbin but there's a reason for this. KZbin auto-nornalizes volume. Apps like Spotify and Tidal got volume normalizer too and the phone performs well there, yes even at max volume but the quality is not the same :) If you remove the normalizer, the audio quality jumps levels higher, but the phone struggles to play even at mid volume bcuz of the extreme bass its speakers add and it can't handle it which is a mistake from black shark in my eyes. it literally cuts off volume, it takes away the whole experience. So you are forced to listen with the normalizer option on, which is still better than other phones out there.

@Cellfactor100 User So you would recommend ROG? I'm looking for an upgrade for my old daily Samsung note 20. Yes price is a factor, don't believe in paying double to be the first to get the latest off the shelf. Been reading few issues with ROG that some are facing with dual apps, not updating or syncing with contacts. Plus love the second space feature on Xiaomi units compared to secure space(samsung). So basically looking for a daily with maybe 1 or 2 hours of lite gameplay and little music time.. would you say Balck Shark is good?

@Cellfactor100 User plus hate the fact Samsung is forcing us to pay for the charger and its still the old slow charge comaprwd to so many other brand mid/low range models which offer super fast charging, this will be my first non Samsung phone purchase 😔
