Thanks for this. I rescued a breeding pair and the whole time I thought they were regular India blue until I hatched a couple chixks and someone informed me the chicks and the Male are black shoulder. I'm pretty excited Though I'm just happy they are happy(spent their first 10 years in a 3x6 enclosure, the male never had a train). We got them in fall last year and this year for the first time he grew a beautiful train, he was so proud)

I'm getting two black shoulder peachicks tomorrow, and I wondering is there any way to sex them? I'm getting them from someone who said he has breed them for 15 years and it's impossible to sex them. My peachicks will be two weeks old. I wanted a male and female because we just wanted to different sexes.

Can't tell for at lease 6-10 months...or longer in some cases
