Black String - Millennium Stage (January 9, 2017)

Founded in 2011, the four member ensemble known as Black String bases their work on Korean traditional music and improvisational music kind of jazz. The combination of a Korean zither amplified for bursts of sound, the fierce quake of traditional drums, and unpredictable melody of jazz guitar is sure to engage audiences.

강릉신날레2017에서 Black String (기획공연1) 접하였습니다 이후 Internet (You Tube)으로 다시 보았습니다 이런 좋은 음악도 있구나 하며 그때 공연한 평롱, 고래야 역시 찾아보았읍니다 Black String 의 북,드럼 치시는분 전부 대단 하지만 더 귀에 들어오네요 저혼자 보고, 듣지 않고 집사람하고 찾어 가서 보고 접하도록 하겠습니다 그날은 무료 지만 입장료 받어야 합니다 감사합니다

Their 2 Albums on German ACT Label are just wonderful. I prefer "Mask Dance" because it has more smooth moments and because I`m not a big fan of the voices on "Karma". But with "Surena" and the wonderful Radiohead cover on it their is lot`s of fun for the listener guaranteed, too. It`s nice to see (and hear) that they are even better on stage. I hope I´ll have the chance to see them LIVE when Covid is over.

I vibe rly hard with the rhythmic sounds, especially with the Korean zither, but I kind of don't like the tempo changes.
