I'm from the sandhills area of Nebraska, we still have the rare dust storm during droughts. It's crazy to think my great grand parents lived through that crazy storm

This is great! I know you've probably being asked to death about this, but are you planning on doing a nuclear attack style scenario? I know you'd be great at it! By the way, I've sort of been inspired by your videos, so I'm planning a mini-scenario with an EAS that gets interrupted midway by a nuclear attack as a form of "trailer" for a book I'm releasing. In any case, this was a well-done trailer! Well done!

EAS scenarios insired me a lot so im doing my own little one about an accidental airing of a lost show getting so out of hand that well... you die if you stare at your television. think of bird box but like your tv in the 90's edit: my scenario does get cleared up and was confirmed as a hoax but...

I don't get the "Turn off all the vehicle lights" thing. I would think you'd want to be as visible as possible during a dust storm. What am I missing?

How do dust storms form
@Undead_Shep4 жыл бұрын
Dust storms arise when a gust front or other strong wind blows loose sand and dirt from a dry surface. Fine particles are transported by saltation and suspension, a process that moves soil from one place and deposits it in another.
@NishnaValleyRailVideos3 жыл бұрын
In the dust bowls case The farmers were digging up too much dirt and there was a big drought it dried up all the dirt and then huge wind storms came and made dust storms
@JayR-wg9jq Жыл бұрын
@@NishnaValleyRailVideosdigging up the dirt had nothing to do with it, the dust bowl happened because the farmers weren't rotating their crops properly due to some government push to get farmers to grow specific crops instead of cycling out the crops. cycling the crops allows the soil to regain nutrients, and basically just be soil. in the basin the soil is also very sandy so those two things mixed together created the dust bowl
