Mixmaster Mike is a legendary DJ. In 1994, rumor was that him and QBert were asked to retire from the DMC World Championships to avoid monopolizing the title. Him & Qbert became judges in 1995. He was a founding member of the Invisibl Skratch Piklz, one of, if not the best turnbalist crews. He also created the Tweak scratch.

Beastie Boys (1979-2012 Adam Horowitz, Adam Yauch, and Michael Diamond ---Adrock, MCA, Mike D) were there alongside Run DMC, the Fat Boys, Grandmaster Flash and Curtis Blow from the beginning. They helped Rick Rubin start Def Jam records, discovered LL Cool J. They were the first rap group to sell a Platinum album.
