+Jaime Grace Yes, growing up I played the violin, more like was forced by my mom and I never exactly excelled at it. I only knew of 1 black violin player, Karen Briggs, she played with Yanni. But no one past her, I think if I was aware of other black violinists, I would have been more motivated, but...even my old as hell violin teacher didn't give me much hope, she always treated how I played, even when I tried really hard, like I was just horrendous. 30 now. I got a cello, which is the instrument I had really wanted to play. I love it.

I went to this exact concert when I was in 5 grade and my string teacher at the time actually was a violinist at the same concert. The concert was amazing and I'm having a lot throwback moments. I'm glad my orch teacher played them today

Five obviously very confused people who may or may not be better off on their own private island, off the grid.. vaping Otter they don't play to entertain people per se. They communicate with their sound and music. But it is like free speech. What they are saying (playing and singing) you don't have to like. Many do though! I think it is wonderful how they inspire young people who are taking lessons, or just playing in the background while I cook lunch.
