What makes this and many other race “massacres” like it is that those very same people who burn and destroy the properties, neighborhoods, and business that were thriving during that era have descendants who mock and ask why successful black communities and schools can’t do anything and never get better. It’s like American schools and history are horribly taught and suppress information that doesn’t add to the narrative

Common sense would tell her parents not to discuss the situation in front of children. They were already in terror. She tried to discredit her, by asking the wrong question, about what time did the BLACK WALLSTREET MASSACRE start. start.

You can tell that the Black woman has nothing but disdain for the reporter. It's subtle, but it's there. I saw it in some of the glances she shot her. At times, it was in her voice. THOSE who know, know.

It breaks my entire heart growing up my entire life on Detroit (the street she mentions) and attending the historic predominantly black schools of Carver Middle School and Booker T Washington High School, though we knew about Black Wall Street and the Tulsa race riot (massacre) that we were not taught one bit of this in schools and had to learn from our parents the little they remembered.

@africanqueenwakanda6776 жыл бұрын
FrnnkEducation I was just wondering the same thing; whether it's a white woman doing the interviewing! I see it from another point of view! Let her hear so she will realize how wicked her Ancestors are! At some point, if she has a conscience this will probably push her to be a part of the solution & not a part of the problem! Not all of them r wicked! Remember she said it was a white farmer who gave her Family shelter? ! May God bless him wherever he is!
@SwiftyNShifty6 жыл бұрын
She is ok with it because she understands and judges people by the contents of their character, not the color of their skin. That is a very important message all humans should really apply to their lives.
@loirinlancaster36 жыл бұрын
It done to to discredit her and the story entirely, they fully aware of what they're doing. They did it with Olivia as well. Anything to not include it in the history books, they even got our people believing we arrived in America on ships when we were already indigenous to this country. Only reason why black people are called African American is because of Reverend Jessie Jackson otherwise we are still black Americans, ask any black woman or man over 50, they refer to themselves as black

A note to the interviewer: Toward the end of the interview you asked if her parents discussed this with her. Someone should have told you, Black families did not discuss grown folks business with kids, she was 9. Maybe you should have found a Black interviewer who would have shown some compassion and who understands Black families but thank you anyway for interviewing her. I just feel questions could have been better articulated if you had a Black interviewer.
