I’ve had my X30 for a little over a year now. I love the Super Macro Mode and the lens is very sharp! It pairs well with my X100T.

Cool shots here. I’ve just bought this little “old” camera in 2022 for street photography. I like the manual zoom lens and the film simulations. And the retro look is great too. I like it much more than the RX100 M3 even if the Sony is technically better. This X30 has a soul, it’s not just a piece of tech.

Haven't played with the Sony but it does seem a little soulless compared with the Fuji. Mine's broken now and live too far from the city to do any street stuff anymore 😔

@@czechingouttasmania What on the X30 broke?

@@pulseimages not sure, just started having an error and would switch off and be unusable. Miss having a pocketable camera

I print 16x20 inch images from this camera with fractal sharpening and no problems. Quite sellable. Love it.

Great perspective

They're more than sharp enough for online use and you could easily print 8x10s. The question is whether you want a shallow depth of field which is difficult to achieve with the X30's smaller sensor but a bonus of that is you get great depth of field also as the equivalent aperture is around F7-11 I believe.

Good to know the X30 in the right hands can make good pics, and you don't need to sink money into more expensive X cameras and lenses.

Well done! Enjoy your photography a lot, you have a good eye. On an added note I've had my own X30 for a couple of years now as my dedicated camera and I have no plans to give it up. Plus I'm working on learning to do videos like this, so it may not be long before I have my own video featuring my work w/ the X30.

Nice! Look forward to seeing it. With photo slideshows you don't need anything fancy, pretty sure I made this in a free programme.

I've got Movie Maker, and I've been messing around quite a bit with it. I don't know if I'll be making any of my videos public on KZbin, though.

It's a good place to get feedback so don't be put off by some of the trolls you see. The photography community on here seems pretty nice.

Good to know. There's always trolls, always snobs to have to deal with anywhere you go. I just ignore, look for people who are actually passionate and knowledgeable about photography. Those are the rare ones.

nice pics. ive been debating between x30, xe2s, x70, x30 being the cheapest to get for street photos. without pixel peeping at images and just viewing at max 1200-1400 (long edge) are the images sharp enough?

could I ask on your setting for this pictures? did you retouch it after you took them, it is beautiful and I have x30 yet I haven't find the best setting to produce as yours here...

Hey there, I edited these in Photoshop afterwards yes, upping the contrast and converting to black and white of course. As far the camera settings go I always shoot in Classic Chrome and my shadow settings are +1 and highlights are +1 too I believe.

is all of your image is fresh from camera? if yes, how was your camera setting? thank for the answer

Hi Wied, no these aren't straight from camera, I edited them in Photoshop, boosting the contrast a bit.
