Video was supposed to be about the bow. What we got might be best arrow tuning video of all time. The dice in 50 grain Tips at black tape blew my mind! Unbelievable great congent! Awesome job. I think you should do arrow camps. People with new bows you can take them threw same steps to get that perfect arrow!

I am very impressed with how technical you are. Most people don’t understand a fraction of this stuff but you have shown knowledge and interest in learning the fine details of trad archery. Very cool.

I ordered my first traditional bow last week and I get it tomorrow! I can't wait to get it set up and get some arrows down the hill! I got this one in a 35# so I can shoot it all day long and build up some good habits and then I'm getting that new NYX 3k carbon from 3rivers for my hunting set up!

I wish the waiting period that comes with a custom bow, 14 months, wasn't so long, but it is what it is. But it will be nice to finally have a bow more suited to me, for season 2026, lol. Look forward to seeing that bow in action. Thanks for the video.

“Looks don’t matter” 6:30. I would disagree as really that’s one of the primary reasons to order a custom bow!!! You can buy 15 Black Hunters for the cost of 1 black widows and get a smooth draw and good speeds but they aren’t on same planet as far as looks!!!!! Yes there’s other reasons such as workmanship, warranty, and I would assume how long it’ll last. A custom traditional bow is something you will pass on to your kids and grandkids if for nothing else other then looks alone. They look cool in the woods killin animals and just as good on the wall of the man cave or she shed!!!! Nice Bow by the way!!!!!

As far as Choosing left or right helical , I like to shoot a bear shaft to see which way it's naturally spinning. It depends on which way you're strings twisted. Shoot at a target at 5 feet and 10 feet. You will see which way it's Wanting to spin without the fletchings . A slow motion camera will show that it takes longer for an arrow to start spinning (like a knuckle ball) "if" it has to fight the way it wants to spin naturally without the fetching. Hope this helps. Love your videos.😊

How that osage darkened is just AWESOME!! Does black widow thicken the riser to increase strength to cut the sight window out? Or is it strong enough just normally? fantastic video. thanks for sharing!

You mentioned Paul Schafer....have you ever thought of trying one of his custom silver-tip bows? I've heard they're great, but I've never met anyone who had one. Can't go wrong with a BW, but just curious if you've tried one of Schafer's.

When you plan on shooting a spring rest do you need to let them know for the tiller? Just curious if it affects where the center of the bow is supposed to be shot from.
@the.traditionalshots9 ай бұрын
I just told them three under with a springy and they took care of the proper tiller . 👍🏼
@jamierobinson86299 ай бұрын
Is the spring rest and up charge over a basic off the shelf riser? I don’t see it listed on their website. Would they have to adjust the tiller of the limbs for the elevated rest? Great video!
@the.traditionalshots9 ай бұрын
Its not an upcharge. I believe they do but not sure. I told them 3 under with springy and they took care of the tiller

Biggest difference I’ve found between left and right is if you shoot left you keep having to tighten your points. Right wing and they will stay tight.
