I thank you for sharing, l took this same direction in 2020 as a single woman and moved to a Jamaica, living in Montego Bay. It is one of the best decision l have made for my single self. Fear was always pushed on to why l was going their but God gave me courage and I am living my best life single. I came across your site for the first time. Blessings ❤

I respect the fact that you were brave enough to step out on faith in move to another country. I have been to Jamaica several times in every time I get off that plane I feel like I'm home. I have a desire to move there but don't know where to start. Thank you for being a black woman who encourages other blacks to do the same.

Specifics now: @3:55 You said if we can resonate feel free to comment. Well I don't know if I resonate but I do have somewhat to say and ask, so I hope its not only those who agree can comment. Who exactly is making you feel you need to ask permission: mother, father, sister, brother, black men, black women? The only thing specific you said was that people would ask "Why, what would make you leave America?" Your answer was, "Because I wanted to?" For myself after living 11 years in America I have my reasons why I think my "black" brothers and sisters should try to leave America and especially come here to Jamaica, much of which is adumbrated by "Goblacktoafrica" for instance. But I think your answer to that question was not necessary (maybe specifics would help). I think you should be patient with people in this regard. Anyone will be curious about the impetus of a single woman, by herself, moving to another country. When I first saw your videos I thought it was fantastic and thought I knew why you would do what you did but as a black American yourself you know that our people don't even like to leave their own "hoods" let alone get on a plane and travel to another country. So I don't think the question is unreasonable especially if its coming from our people in the USA. Is it a situation where the question triggers you? Why would it trigger you? Do you believe in being an independent woman? Are you a feminist? Which brings us to my concern which is one of the main reasons why I was happy to see you do as you have done in leaving America. The media in America has been promoting this feminist movement not to help anyone but to destroy the family. If you look at the most successful cultures in the world today from China to Arabia, the woman is not the authority the man is, which is traditional. Traditional family structure is what got us all here today and has built many great societies etc. If it is not broke why fix? I don't believe that a black woman needs to travel with anyone but I would feel better for you if you did so with a family (which includes men - can't believe I have to say that part lol). Therefore you being here should be whatever you want it to be about but chief of these should be creating family. Not making a community of women! Your priority should be what slavery tried to destroy by specifically destroying and making the black man irrelevant. After slavery the process was institutionalized through the welfare system which paid black women not to have a man in the house, if they did they would not be able to receive the benefits. You think all this effort to exclude the black man in his family was for no reason and that they did not know what they were doing? Even the UN did a study that proved that men were the most important element in raising children and that single parent households with fathers was even better performing than a nuclear family! My fear is that you may inadvertently transport with you the very thing you have tried to get away from. But I would really like to know, who is making you feel that you need permission?
