Well, he has been a fairly serious character. Comedy doesn't just come from the absurd, but from someone's reaction to it. Black Badness is probably the "straight man" in the SoV universe. *log off Twitter, it's a comedy reference.

The joke is that there is no joke. The viewer keeps waiting for the punchline to arrive and is kept off guard only to finally see that this character can pull off the edgy vigilante schtick unexpectedly straight, and it is glorious.

The narrative style and panel presentation is part of the joke too. Oh well, doesn't matter. It's fun. Would we rather watch a billionaire super attorney traverse through the world's legal system loopholes? Maybe, but I wouldn't. I mean the actual thing, not made up oversimplified cases for the sake of dramatic narrative and making the viewer feel smart because they can see the obvious flaw. You want to read about The Dark Knight, not Bruce Wayne - asset managing businessman.

That’s the thing with powerless heroes. To fill the vacuum where they lack powers, they usually have superior strength of mind and an indomtiable will, and you know what they say, when there’s a will, there’s a way, therefore the strongest willed individuals in comics are able to keep up with aliens, demigods, metahumans and other superpowered beings, even when they’re only mere mortals.

Sorry for my english again. Well that's it. I watched every society of virtue episode. It was amazing. Brilliant comedy, spectacular art style. And this is good ending, we see that setting from serious point of view and things is not over, they keep going, we just never happened to see more of it. That was really interesting to dive in this universe and now in terms of superheroes, for me there is great Trinity: DC, SoV and Marvel. Rest my beloved heroes, that was a good run.

Honestly, I would totally pay to see a live action of this story. It's similar but so different from a lot of the darker, gritty comic book characters and takes it's own share of the superhero pie with no apologies.
