Good morning "Sarge." I think you may want to dig a drainage ditch and install a drainage pipe directing the water to that spot in your wall. otherwise simply filling that spot with dirt will simply redirect the water to another spot at your wall. Remember, water seeks its level. love you guys!

You are absolutely right. Water will follow the path of least resistance, a channel to direct the water where it naturally wants to go is best.

i pray rick will hear us when we tell him to create a drainage system ....right now he keep doing trial and error and then set on repeat..

@ , I fear our rational advice will be ignored. That wall will blow out in the rainy season if the water doesn’t have a place to go.

@@bossdarli i can imagine the overwhelming number of comments he's receiving daily, and if he's anything like me he may overlook a few opting to take care of other more pressing chores instead of sitting Infront of a computer monitor reading email. i can only hope that he may by pure chance notice our suggestion and take actions. i further hope that he doesn't at all perceive this suggestion as a threat as ever he has my respect and honest wishes for nothing but the best for him and his family

Hey bag, think about digging a channel from the front through that same area line it with small bricks to let the water run out in rainy season. If no one lane to run the water will flood.

How are you draining your property during the Rainy Season? Your concrete block fence will dam up the water causing flooding and standing water. You can install drainage pipes or openings in your fence to allow water run off. You can dig ditches or swells to channel the water on your property to the river.

Ditches or swells are a good idea. Replenish ground water and storage. Use and work with the rain water instead of fighting it.

HELLO BLACK ACRES OF THE GAMBIA FAMILY. HAPPY NEW YEAR. I REMEMBERED WATCHING SOME ENVIRONMENTALISTS TRYING TO STOP EROSION...THEY PLANTED MANY TREES. THAT WILL GROW AND BECOME HUGH . HOPES THIS HELPS.

There are grasses with very long roots that hold the soil together and prevent erosion: vetiver and napier grass are two.

Easy solution to your flood problem, build a holding pond and dig several tranches channeling water to the pond. What you’re doing now will not work

I think it would be better to fix that soil erosion with large stones and soil than with cement and soil

I have to wonder if 1 pilgrim family showed up and began building, would there be a America today? Or If only 1 Chinese family moved to a community in New York, would there be a Chinatown? Imagine if only 1 Amish family moved to Pennsylvania, would there be the Amish community? They all laid a blueprint that can be studied.. All of them had a foundation and that foundation was built on people who had a vested interest in the growth of that community. None were built on random people having no interest in the communities success or failure. There's strength in numbers and weakness when there are few. If this is understood, then whats meant to be will be.
