Bro I had to play this around that time and unlocked everything in the game and took almost two days and I had no memory card to save and you may ask yourself but how? Well before the boss fight I left my PS2 on overnight and woke up early again to beat it and then hours later complete and unlock everything it was a disaster and mind you if I lost all my lives I would have to start from the beginning of the game and I was really nervous on the boss fight and since they have a remake on this I'm glad that I can save my game now🤣

Yes! I completely agree. Ripto's Rage has such amazing cutscenes, lines, and minigames. My favorite cutscene has to be Boo, my favorite line that is so nostalgic for some reason to me is, "You got a problem with that, pussycat?", and my favorite minigame is the one where you look for the professor's pencil. Overall my favorite out of the trilogy, though I do agree that 1 and 3 are great, too.

I never got to play much of the third one because I got estranged from my dad due to living in foster care and the courts not letting him visit me. I got to play it when I reunited with my dad a decade later as an adult but his PlayStation stopped working long before I could finish it.

Thank you so much for this! I heard of the secret ending for ages but I never had the chance to fully see it. The meta-ness of it is a hoot and I love the sense of humor associated with it. Each level has a part almost and it adds a lot to the lore. The very end with Hunter really makes me smile; imo it was dumb not to have him go with Spyro to begin with. I only seen that ending as a kid and once I played 3 needless to say I went wild once I seen him in the next game I wasn't expecting it lol.

This was the best Spyro game! The sentence "No dragons... wonderful" lived with me through my entire childhood (even though i am hungarian, so i didn't understand a thing of what they were saying), and i am still remember it as an adult now. I still remember how i used to hate Hurricos, Metropolis and Robotica Farms, but i could spend days at Aquaria Towers, Mystic Marsh and Cloud Temples. Oh, and the Speedways. My dad had to do them, cause i had no patience for them. Now i have the urge to purchase the reignited trilogy, even if it cost ...a small fee.

@@AshkarBehek0 The remake kinda takes the greatness out of some of the cutscenes. It ruined my favorite cutscene, Boo. And the voice acting in my opinion doesn't give off the same feel as the original. Don't get me wrong, the voice acting is great but it's a little less great if you've played the original first. Also, Hunter doesn't really look like Hunter in the remake. The design is good, but it's not Hunter. Ripto doesn't sound like himself either. I'm not talking about literal voice because of course, a PS1 game voice isn't going to sound like a PS4 game voice. I mean the way he talks, it doesn't feel like Ripto. Ripto was just turned into some weirdo that reminds me of Pennywise sometimes instead of how he was in the original. Also, I don't really like Ripto's new design. Yes, there are worse Ripto designs *cough*Enter the Dragonfly*cough*. But Ripto is just perfect the way he is in the original. The professor's design is kind of weird to me. And before you judge me, I know the creators of the remake worked very hard on it, I still like it, I'm just saying how the original is better. This is also all just my personal opinion, I respect other people's opinions on the games, too. Both the originals and the remakes are all great games and Spyro will always have a special place in my heart for being one of if not the best games ever created.

I suppose i share my theory on why Spring was omitted from the game: In a 2018 video, one of the developers have stated that the concept of a Spring world was never thought of, or something along those lines. However, we can interpret his statement in a different approach: A Spring-themed homeworld was never implemented because it ended up becoming the starting season of Spyro 3, and the multitudes of references hinting at a scrapped, fourth homeworld, such as the absence of talismans in Winter Tundra and the unusual amount of levels in the Autumn section are intentional game designs. Even if it if was at least discussed, (which i assume they mentioned it at least, since the hub worlds are season-themed after all) it never undergone development stage. They were preserving it for the third instalment instead.

This game carries a heavy amount of nostalgia to me. This was peak childhood for me. If I'm remembering correctly, I got this game for Christmas as well as a few Pokemon items (poster of the original 151 Pokemon) and a copy of Pokemon The First Movie Soundtrack. Just hearing the sounds of this game now brings back so many shared memories with my siblings/cousins. Staying up late, trying to beat this game (we had no memory card), eating a bunch of pizza rolls without a care in the world. That was 24 years ago, time truly flies.

this had the best sense of progression because it's the first time new moves were introduced like paying for swimming to progress to underwater levels, i'll never forget paying for the climbing ability and feeling like a new world was introduced, then of course the headbut into the ground, the little cutscenes at the start / end of every portal, the badlands was genuinely dark and scary lol. Voice actors were so much more interesting, the remaster doesn't compare, the way the audio cuts out to create suspense and they left out the sound when you press X after audio.. hunter also is just lifeless in the remaster lol. I feel like every level in this Spyro game was well thought out whereas in spyro 3 I loved it but it was very random. Even Zephyr with it's weird herding elephant things The only levels I don't remember as well are the last worlds lol (I completed it but probably didn't return to this part when replaying)

This game looks fun! I think I’ll get the Reignited Trilogy for my Switch one day! (just in case, yes, Toys for Bob ported the Trilogy to other systems as well)
