This song pretty much summed up how I have felt the last year and change recovering from the most devastating relationship I have ever been in. I loved her with all of my heart, wanted her to be my wife, and I wanted her to have my children. I sacrificed so many things and worked like a dog on and off of work to be the best man I could be for her. I even started getting closer with my faith to teach me how to be a better man to my future wife. I did all of this to learn that she just loved the idea of me she had in her mind and not actually.... well.... me. Long story short I am still recovering from it over 15 months later. I will get there one day but god damn does this song sum it up perfectly, the pain I still feel to this day over how much I still love her.
