This song isn't about teenagers or school. This song is about how blackbear lets social media rule his life letting it affect his mental health. "Used to be a shooting star, when did I become so dark?" Is exactly this, saying he used to be happy and healthy but all the negativity turned him to a dark mood. "tell me, tell me, I'm the worse.
