I ended up in the hospital with alcohol induced pancreatitis and when I found out he’s been through it made me like him even more idk anyone besides me that had pancreatitis too so really I still have no one to talk to or relate to specifically that was an alcoholic that suddenly can’t ever drink again and is struggling wish I did but I’m glad he is another person I heard that’s also been through it

what a trip. No bullshit, i used to live down in Hollywood for like 7 years, and i pretty much just drank and partied every day for the entire time. I was always a drinker but i stepped up my intake when i got into the local music scene down there. At the age of 24 on the day of the rose bowl parade i got woke up with a crazy pain in my stomach. I tried to wait it out but after an entire night of puking and cringing in pain, i drove myself to Hollywood Presbatyrian and proceeded to wait in the lobby for the next 12 hours. When i really thought i couldn't take it any more i walked up to the lobby window and just before i could tell the nurse i was really feeling sick i fucking passed the fuck out and took a header straight into a fucking wheel chair that was sitting out by the window. Woke up to the Dr telling me that i needed some tests done immediately and asking me if i was a heavy drinker. Long story slightly less long, i was diagnosed with chronic degenerative necratizing pancreatitis. That shit is all true i swear. The disease is known to be possibly the most painful disease a human being can experience. Unlike Black Bear i did not take the very sound advice from my Drs and decided to keep on drinking. The next five years of my life where nothing short of a marathon lesson in the true meaning of Pain. I could try and explain how deep that rabbit hole goes but honestly there is no language capable. no emoji expressive enough, and no picture/video/short film epic enough to even begin to touch what it means to be bi polar twenty something addict/alcoholic living with this disorder. Facts. Salute to BBear for making it through the hospital stay, that shit will absolutely leave you with PTSD and will absolutely make you crazy. I wish that i had known of an outlet back then that i could us to express myself back then, once that would not ensure continued and increasing levels of suffering. I was not so lucky back then though, and my journey was one that i really should not have ever made it back from. Drs gave me 7 years to live when i was diagnosed as that is the average life expectancy of a person with chronic pancreatitis. That was over 9 years ago. So what happened to me? How did i make it to where i am today? I was blessed! Nothing short of a miracle could have derailed me from my one way trip through the inner circles of Hell, and a miracle is exactly what i received. I got an angel at my doorstep some five years ago. Literally knocked on my door. Her name was Xela. She is my Muse. And my GirlFriend. She needed a place to stay and we had a mutual friend, so they both came to see if i had any extra room. Can you guess whether or not i had a spare bed or two??? ya no brainer right? i might have been a sick son of a fuck but i have never been accused of being stupid. I didn't know why she had came to me but i knew she was came for me. She showed me a new way to take all the pain and punishment i had been self inflicting for so long and transform it into something that could heal. My lifetime of torture quickly began to dissipate an was slowly evolving into something that one day i would not hate. She told me that She had always wanted to be a musician and that she was a very talented writer but despite her best efforts could not figure out how to make a song. She described to me about how she had always dreamed of a boy who would love her and help her to make her dreams into reality by creating for her the music she needed to hold her words. When she told me this i knew without hesitation i was that boy. After years of dedication on her part to seeing me through my rebirth, coupled with my own intensive investigation into learning to wield the new tools she had shown me, We are now at that point both of us had only dreamed about. I am Healed. And she is a musician. We are musicians. We now make #SickHop music full time in our small studio in northern California and are building our brand up with each and every song. Each one written, produced, mixed and mastered all here at the studio by the two of us. The music has pretty much become everything for us. And all those years of torture have given me a unique insight into song writing that tends to translate as you might imagine. Dark and twisted but at times hopefully, yet more often then not just plain old painful. We have more to offer then just the misery but if that is your cup of tea i promise you we can deliver a cold cup of sorrow in short order and with free refills for life. #cheesy but seemed appropriate. Not sure why i just wrote all this, something about hearing another artist say that they have the same disorder as me just stirred something and i wanted to share about my experience as well as invite anyone interested to check out this #SickHop thing we are so passionate about. Our band name is #SoloCult. But in general when people ask where they can find our stuff i just tell them to google the word #SickHop. We worked hard to get that hashtag dominated and its the easiest way to find us i think. Thanks for reading all those who have made it this far. This story was all 100% true and if pressed I can prove it, not that anyone cares, but just saying. We are doing great already and really all She had ever wanted was to be a musician, so mission accomplished but i will continue to work as hard as i do for as long as i can because i know she deserves nothing less then to be a STAR.
