That figure won't be far out. Of course the deportation figure will be "staggeringly low". It is just one of many statistics closely guarded by the government to prevent people knowing the extent of their incompetence. I wonder what has been the cost to the taxpayer in terms of legal aid to get to this point in this utter shambles. What respect did he show to the human rights of his victims? I think one victim was a daughter of someone high up actually. The first person to bring this up in public - well before TR or The Times - was a female Labour MP in 2002. She was shut down by police and the council. Then she got death threats. MPs and the government are powerless to stop this: it's down to the police. Government cannot tell the police what to do, they are separate and independent.

Even if you get lucky and your search returns results, they are then redacted to an extreme level. The public servants in charge of this corrupt coverup should be gaoled for life. As a barrister you would be aware of the European convention on Human rights, of which the Uk is signed up to. Even as a convicted child sex offender the person in question uses the ECHR to argue his family is in the Uk and it would be against his Human rights to lose access to his family. This was used in a case where a convicted Rapist from Poland was allowed to stay in the Uk as the ECHR argues that conditions in a Polish prison were not fit for purpose, and he was not deported. The Uk already has Human rights laws in place and we need desperately to rid ourselves of the ECHR.
