Blackberry Jam ~ One of our absolute seasonal favourites and not widely available to buy, so this really is a must for any lover of full-fruit homemade jam.
This year the Blackberries are the best for years, full, large, and sweet, and now is an ideal time to get out into the countryside and take advantage of the hedgerow feast.
This jam recipe takes 20 minutes to make, you need no previous experience or special ingredients, just equal weights blackberries and granulated sugar, a large pan and some jars. It's one of the easiest fruits to get a good set with, so if you have never made jam at home before this is an ideal one to start with.

It tastes wonderful. We love blackberry jam. We have just spotted an amazing spot this morning on our dog walk so we are going blackberrying again this weekend as we fancy trying the home made blackberry jam with fresh blackberries on a vanilla cheesecake .
