I like hearing about the better typing experience. To review BB10, the efficiency needs to be demo'd to do justice (Peek, Flow,Hub,Type N Go, KB shortcuts etc.) The back is in fact a weave. It's a glass weave that BlackBerry created and is claimed to have twice the strength of plastic, while weighing less. Also this material is easier to transmit signals through (better reception). I'll be getting a Q10 ASAP, but I don't base my phone on its media ability as much the productivity.

If you can get one without contract for $300, it's TOTALLY worth it. Even if you end up not liking the phone, they sell for more than that used online, so you can always sell it.

I tried Z10 and Q10 and still my favorite BlackBerry is Torch 9810, in fact it's my all time favorite smartphone.

BB is made for whole different section of buyers, buyer who believes in using phone as "phone" and not as "play station", phone means that device who keeps u connected wit your personal/professional people in a smart way, this job is never done by any phone in market except for BB. keyboard is gorgeous, big buttons, feels comfortable, lets u type with confidence and sentence prediction makes it 10/10,top of it like u you said its right that it feels million dollar phone you are holding,it is (Y)

I've never had a BB, currently GS1... at first i thought i wanted to go back to real keyboard because mine gets dead spots and the auto correct, but the Z10 looks amazing. haven't got the chance to touch it yet, but its look more appealing than the q10

I owned the Blackberry Pearl Flip when it first came out and liked the design and idea but there were still quite a few bugs with it and I didn't like the Pearl keyboard design so I took it back and chose between the BlackBerry Curve back when it had the trackball and the Palm Treo Pro that had the touchscreen with a more gel-like keyboard that I liked. I chose the BlackBerry Curve and liked it. I own the most recent Curve from Boost Mobile but am thinking about upgrading.

Yes. Its called Blaq, i believe. Double check. There is NO official tumblr app, unfortunately. I use tumblr too, but the internet on this phone is good, so you can always bookmark it on your phone.

@1:35 Actually, it is not carbon fiber, it is glass, and yes, it is woven. Source: Friend who is a material scientist at BlackBerry.

although i appreciate the opinions.the point is that the q10 is not trying to best the z10 or any other android device....so why compare it to them....users who want the keyboard are more than happy to give up the screen for it...and existing blackberry users would be getting a bigger screen anyway...so to say a bigger screen means better doesnt really hold up here....in all honestly the only way you can review this phone is to say if it performs well as a modern smartphone given the form factor

its not that bad off contract and first how many people actually buy off contract unless they are buying on ebay or craigslist and its not even at full price. for you the phone isnt worth it but for others it is.

i like the blackberry Q10 but like you said it doesnt have widget like the other phones and i just wish it would of had that but this blackberry phone are more for busnisses and i just wish it was for regulat people too

well in my opinion widgets are a gimmick. The Q10 has active panes for the apps you have open so it really serves the same functionality as most of the widgets I ever used on Android. Widgets are also good when the os has a home-screen for shortcuts and widgets AND a sub-directory for the pages of apps. Since BB10 only has a home-screen that really wouldn't make sense to have. It's not only for business now! Besides its not like widgets are the defining line between business and "regular ppl"

ugh...overall it was a good review but I just dont get the reccomendations at the end....they say the the Z10 is by far a superior device because it has a bigger screen...and then they say but if you want a keyboard...guys...its not all about having a big screen for many people....thats why this phone exists...thats implied the second you pick this phone up....so to say the z10 is a superior phone...to a group of people who prefer a traditional BB style phone....is not exactly saying much...

i have to disagree. i am selling my z10 to get this phone. also here in the US, Verizon sells the phone for $599 (which is much different than $799.) i personally wouldn't buy any phone on the market today for $799. this is an awesome phone and for those of us not playing angry birds/fruit ninja all day, this phone is nerd sex. that is all. btw ty goodereader for the android app sideloads.

These guys comparing Q10 to the Torche is like comparing apples and oranges. Q10 is the next Bold, so should compare it to 9900, 9780,9700, etc. Most ppl get phones with contracts anyways and prices drop with time. So ppl if you are considering the Q10 then consider it for the keyboard and long battery life. Even a child can do these reviews better ...

you can download ANY android app now they they have native support for it so i would imagine you could get that

you can side load android apps easily, just search on youtube or crackberry there are many videos. Use blackberry link, drag and drop the songs in your Z10 or Q10, or copy all your songs into a SD card and plug it into your phone.

Google sideload apps blackberry. It should take you to the Crackberry site and from there on to how to do it. It's not super simple but it works! :-)
