Wow when hurricane 🌀 IRMA came thru florida me and my family and best friend evacuated florida and went to Tennessee and met some great people and they showed up blackberry smoke mainly this old town and ain't much left of me, my best friend absolutely loved blackberry smoke , shortly after we made it back to Florida he passed away , and now every time I listen to your band I damn near cry but his spirit lives thru your music ! I love this song. Its a real picture of life and the struggles we deal with day to day. We either run to the bottle or Bible for succor. Jesus said "In this life we have struggles." So true, if we could turn the page back and get to do some things over we might fix somethings, but we'll still find new reasons to punch holes in that wall. You really takes the spirit of Ronnie Van Zant/Lynyrd Skynyrd, Little Feat, Marshall Tucker Band & The Allman Brothers Band to a new, fresh and fantastic level of "soul searching" in both time & space! I have been "in love with" "Southern Rock" since i first heard Lynyrd Skynyrds "Railroad Song" in a radio broadcast in the spring of 1975 during my military duty here in Sweden... and since then it been... "NO TURNING BACK"!!! This perfect blend/mix of Blues, Rock, Country, Gospel, Soul, Funk & Jazz combined with "down to earth lyrics" that describe "common man struggles & emotions"... is just AMAZING!

Blackberry Smoke is something special, just like Lynyrd Skynyrd is, only different. What they have in common is two great songwriter band leaders - Charlie and Ronnie - who’ve surrounded themselves with an excellent complement of musicians and producers - especially on You Hear Georgia in the case of BBS. Been a huge fan since first show of first day of first Skynyrd Cruise (G3D 2007), and this song excites me as much or more than anything BBS has ever done! Great production; every part is killer! I’m a rock fan who’s also a big southern rock fan, but Blackberry Smoke started out amazing for me many years ago and just keeps getting better.
