Fantastic cover of one of my favorite MTB songs. Paul does an incredible job harmonizing with Charlie. Charlie does this one well. Toy is one of my heroes. I am beholden to him, as I am all vets, for his sacrifices for our freedom. I am still in AWE some 40+ years later of the music he created and left behind. As disco took over the music scene, solidifying the 70s reputation as SUCKY, MTB and few others were making KICK ASS music. I am extremely fortunate to have seen the original band in that era before the untimely death ot Tommy. Music I will never forget and never stop listening to. BBS is a bright spot in these times. BEST AND PEACE

I have a problem with these guys you call the Marshall Tucker Band just a bunch of guys playing Marshall Tucker music. doug actually said of toy Caldwell there were lots of good guitar Pickers in the Marshall Tucker Band he was just one of them. Hell there was only one and that was TOY Caldwell AND TOMMY it was their band not Doug's .Doug was just a singer. He drugged the band's name into the ground.
@souettequinn46634 жыл бұрын
@@nautiquecowboynautiquecowb5317 The music speaks for itself as the band of today continues to tour and fill the venues of 2nd and 3rd generations of MTB fans. Toy and Tommy were exceptionally talented. They were trendsetters in the world of Southern Rock....but, the musicians of the band today are incredible artists who keep that LIVE music flowing as we sing the songs and hum the notes from the past 45 years. God bless every single MTB member, living and passed.

@@souettequinn4663 fair enough it just bothered me when I heard the gray say that the Marshall Tucker Band had a lot of good pickers and toy Caldwell was just one of them. There's no way there be a Marshall Tucker Band if it wasn't for Toy and Tommy Doug should think about that. They gave him his future. Haven't been around any of the band members since the night they were inducted hall of fame. Not personal friends just a fan. It's been a long time.
@donpugh99304 жыл бұрын
@@nautiquecowboynautiquecowb5317 I agree there was only one Toy Caldwell he was the one that did most of the writing of all the great songs MTB had. You can never replace him and as for Tommy there has never been a greater bass solo then the one on the live version of 24 hours at a time They were great musicians and can never be replaced. They were MTB. So sad all the tragedy that happened in the Caldwell family.

Ya well they blew by hiring the wrong guy to play the flute. The flute part in this song is what drew me to MTB in '73 and this guy butchered it. On top of that, he looked like he knew he was butchering it and didn't care...like it was a part of the song nobody cared about. Bullocks!

I just discovered this band about eight months ago didn’t even know they were on the planet… I may have missed out on a lot but I’m making up for it now because these dudes are really killer. Great sounds great choices of songs that they cover and their own songs of really really great I can’t say enough good things about them. They’re just that damn good. God bless Them. They’re bringing back an old way and traditional way of how to play music The right way. They are so good wish out of known about them a long time before this. Like I said I’m making up for it now. Unlike most of y’all listen to them for all these years I’ve got a treasure trove of stuff to go through and it just keeps getting better. Love these dudes. And out of music for a while so hadn’t kept up with much at all too many things happening in my life now that I’ve got my own studio being put up I’m coming across some great music these dudes. I’ll have a good one .And keep rockin. Hope that came out right I’m voice recognition system pretty much sucks and I suck at typing so I think you get the jest.
