I just did a phone upgrade and got mine coming a day from now. Closest thing i've had to a touch screen phone was a Razr-2. Not alot of touch anything on that. But I saw this and figured hey, it's affordable, sleek, sexy, and blackberry is a recognized name. Hopefully my first blackberry experience is a good one!

lol I have a droid 2 and I'm going back to the storm 2. Its been a while since I've had one, but I've had both the storm and the storm 2 and I have to say that I don't realize what all the negativity is about. I loved both of the phones. By the way I can't wait for noah to start making videos regularly again regardless of what channel he's on.

I really love the new one. My friend had the old one and it was quite laggy. But it was the first model, hopefully it wont be like the iPhone. Love how you used Try Again lyrics at the beginning. Haha

No phone is really better than another. It really depends on your needs. Blackberry phones tend to be more business suited. Lately they've become alot more user friendly. If it's e-mail and text I don't think any other device will compare to a Blackberry. If you want something more flashy and fun I think the Eris is more for you. Go to a Verizon store and try them both out and see which seems easier for you to use.

on the speed of typing thing, you can adjust that in the display options on how fast the device picks up the touches.

Yes there are multiple sensors now. Allowing clicking in each corner and the middle. As apposed to one entire screen click on the original Storn. So Typing should be vastly improved.

Phonedog is the best. Good honest feedback. I have the original Storm and love sure press. I have big fingers and think the keyboard awsome. To type numbers hold the key for a couple seconds and and it will lock so you can type without changing screens. The new phone is a nice improvment as the Storm 1 biggest issue was lag. The new phone adresses that issue. The phone still needs a good web browser and multi touch. The new scrolling is better and the camera does not lag.

I had the original Storm for over a year starting summer 2009 and I had tried out a Storm2 in the local Verizon store months after I got it and I hated the screen. To this day I still think the original Storm had/has a better screen, better click mechanism and I could type so much better, faster and more accurate on the original. The Storm2 seemed more tight and sluggish.

well he did do a review on the first storm and those two features that i pointed out were the same on the storm 2. doesnt help he started the clip off saying he doesnt like the storm. but your right it wasnt a review...

I was going and get this phone but the biggest draw back is it 65,000 colours screen most Nokia and other phone have 16,700,000 colours screen so a HQ video look beautiful and detailed. If you like to watch videos get an N8 or an Android OS. 1st Android Power with great UI and features. 2nd Iphone 3rd and 4th The UI in the blackberry is better but beside BBM the blackberry can't beat the Symbian operating system when it comes to features.

I saw a demo of this at BB the other day.. I personally find it to be way too flimsy. As Noah mentioned, the whole screen seems to be moving when your press a certain spot; same with the keys. Not for me.

Multitouch was pattented by apple on Mobile Devices. Everyone else is SOL unless you own an iPhone. Android has multitouch functionality but cannot be enabled at this time.

YOU CANT GET THE PHONE ON ATT Seriously its carrier LOCKED. it does come with a sim card but thats only for OVERSEA CARRIERS Even if you managed to unlock it, its set on the oversea frequency. Not the one used in the states

You don't HAVE to buy a Data Plan, but without one, owning a BlackBerry would be pretty useless, as there would be no internet browsing or apps without having to pay an arm and a leg.
