There's a lot of awesome versions of this track. From Hiromi to Joey Alexander. I think Collier did it too, and Meldhau had one with a singer too. Great track to reharmonize!

Do you mean at 2:29 (D-G)? Since the right hand G is a tied note, you could use the pedal to hold the tie and use to RH thumb to get the G3. He's just on the very edge of those notes himself.
