Porter is one of my favorits. Honestly I really love the earlier versions, with the radial pistion engines much better. But nobody brings them up in the sim. Blackbird did a great job anyway ... I love it. Thank you for your awesome video.

The Porter had an inline piston originally, but most had the turboprop irl. Radials were more the beaver.

"Do not reverse in flight" - That's some sound advice right there. Makes you wonder if enough people were doing it to make them feel a sticker was necessary.

They did it during the shuttle program. The way they taught astronauts to land the shuttle was to take a Gulfstream up and have them fly an approach with the gear down, full flaps, and engines in full reverse. That’s how terrible the glide ratio was in the actual shuttle.

Standard practice during skydiving ops with the Porter was always to drop the “meat bombs” and use reverse for a quick return to Terra Firma

There's a few airports that require reverse on approach as part of the procedure. I remember seeing a video where the porter was the only authorized aircraft able to land at that airport. Pretty insane!

Wow this scenery is so impressive. Really shows you what can be done in the sim. Give it another few years when computers get faster and Asobo improves the sim more? Really like the updates for the Porter. I like now that it has a float version which is fine. Ironically as far as performance I prefer raw floats but you can't beat the amphibious version for practicality. In previous sims we had both so hopefully it comes in the future!

Got the link for the second version from the guys yesterday. If I can, I'll drop by (virtually, of course). I will continue with this machine. In January, I'll treat myself to the Wilga for my birthday. I became aware of this through you. I still know the original. Thank you for your work. Another tip if you want something finer. The Cirrus SF50 G2. like that thing. It's slow for a jet, but that's what makes flying so appealing, and the safety features of the original are the best i know. Merry Christmas. love the Porter im still flying fsx, recently brought the porter, its good but my computor is too slow, framerates not good enough for smooth flight oh um... but one day i will be replacing the old confuser and will be able to fly msfs cant wait.... can i suggest playing the lumberjack song by monty python whilst you are resting in your cabin in the clouds... i used to play it whilst busy driving around Vancouver with my windows down just to share the fun lol

Have to admit, I was slightly dissapointed that the floats didnt have an achor like the beaver, after all its the same developer, and gives slightly more control on the water especially with startup etc, none the less, the float version still flies well , would have hoped that they made an amphib for the floats, we can only hope they add these with time. Glad you enjoyed your new home, Merry Christmas and happy flying.

Wonderful video, the area looks stunning and the analog Porter is amazing :) Seems you missed the Blackbird announcement that they are not willing to integrate the GTN750 (either PMS50 or TDS) into the Porter because it has caused them too much trouble. That's why they offer the blank option so PMS50/TDS/modders can do it, but without support from Blackbird. Honestly I just wish Asobo/WT would produce a GTN750, because I love the usability and functionality, but it there is always trouble with compatibility, especially with the stream of WT beta versions in the Marketplace.

The performance of your sim is really not great lately. Are you using DirectX 12? If you do ... don't! I tried DX12 for while and the performance was similar at best but worse most of the time. I switched back to DX11 and have no issues.

This update was promised so, so long ago. Now it's here, it's a disappointing. When you look at the likes of the 310 and what that has, it's 18 months waiting for a couple of new versions, and little else.
