I'm from Australia and Queensland it sounds more like a 457 Visa. When I read about this myself some made more then one trip. They came in a sail boat to Australia because that was the only transport at the time. Thier work for a low salary but I bet thier was no work in thier own country, and when it ended many didn't want to leave Australia. I know what Wikipedia says, but anyone can edit Wikipedia. Why should I listen when people come straight out with lies. Wage thief only mate.

How do you tie the actions of one man to Scotland? Also, given that this evil practice stopped 150 years ago can you explain how these communities are still affected? Very poor documentary.
