My old man - a RAAF test pilot in England in the mid 50's had some hair raising stories flying Beverley's through thick cloud on approach to Iceland. He much preferred the Vulcan.

Very cool vid. My uncle used to fly one to do airdrop food to the people of Yemen back in the 70's, he has fond memories of it. Thanks.

My father was an AeOp Flight Sergeant in 47 Squadron operating out of various overseas based including Cyprus at the height of the EOKA 'terrorists' and the Suez Paratroop jump into Egypt. He did live in Egypt at one time as well. He was the radio operator that sent the MayDay from a Beverly on a training flight at Thorney Island, south coast of the UK, where after an engine dropped off the aircraft at night, the plane crashed into the water, and two crew drowned. May they Rest in Peace. Anyone with a personal interest in that crash, please feel free to message me.
