Solid Snake in MGS4 is my favourite protagonist in all of gaming. He's constantly beaten down both physically and emotionally to the point that any other character would crumble like a house of cards... But he keeps going. He keeps going even though his genetic and memetic legacy will no longer exist, and he succeeds. Thats why the graveyard scene at the end is also my favourite scene in all of gaming. Its Snake having closure for the first time in a while where his genes (Big Boss/ FoxDie) arent trying to actively kill him.

For me the battle with the Ocellot at the end of video really hits me. I can't stop thinking about MGS V and all the time I spent with him there. I know he isn't all there by the time he fights solid, but just thinking of what Ocellot must feel like is insane. He has been in Big Boss' story for decades of his life. Fighting Solid, who is a clone of his friend, must evoke so many emotions that are impossible to process.
