Both are very nice trailers; I've pulled them both and found that the Timpte cleans out much nicer and easier, especially noticable when changing varieties or crops. I would very much like to try a new Eby Generation trailer!

I'd be happy with either one. I hope you have a great harvest we're just going to start drying some corn here probably tomorrow to get things up and running. We had some rain last 2 days so soybeans are going to take a little bit to get ready again. But I like my two big wagons yet. Have a great weekend thanks for sharing

Sharp looking trucks and trailers! Have never pulled a Timpte before, they seem to be nice looking trailers! Have pulled several Wilson’s ranging from 60” tall by 96” wide to 72” tall by 102” wide. Had good luck with them. Always enjoy your videos!

SMX ran wilson flatbeds . Except for the few that showed up with corporate buyouts. Over 4 thousand trailers . They didnt have major problems. The usual issues with new hires parking them with the duals in standing water or collapsed dolly gears because they couldnt be bothered with rolling the gear down in the first place. Loading goons who would use a nailgun thru the aluminum decking instead of the nail strips . Result was leaking airlines. That kind of thing

That's a lot of trailers ...I could see that - all depends how they are treated ... always good to hear from you

Dislike both because of price. I like my 2 late 90’s Merritt hoppers. Angled front and rear with wide cleat to stand on makes it comfortably safe. Manual tarp and gear reduction boxes on traps make them easy and dependable. Both have air ride….. crank the bags to max height and they clear Westfield low pro swing hopper, no problem. Decided to go with these trailers save money and buy another farm. Take care of those hoppers so I can buy them used in 20 years.

Are the hoppers the same size? I understand overall trailer length may be a difference by a foot or so, but thats just dead space right? I guess I'm asking are they different sizes as in do you have to load them differently to get the same weight?
@Blackearthexcavationandtiling Жыл бұрын
Depending upon the model of trailer - the hoppers will be the same size ... for example our Wilson 34 ft long trailer uses nearly the same hopper as a 39 or 41 ft long trailer.... on the longer length trailers they just put a dead space .....reason for a longer trailer is bridge length - meaning max gross allowable weight...

As a retired grain hauler from the 80s pulling a 40ft Super Hopper behind a K100, back then the Wilson looked noting like the Tempte. It appears to me the Wilson has done a lot to make their trailers look like the Tempte.

One question why dont you have rear wheel fenders on your trucks so you cansave rock chip damage on your cabs & all those nice shinny aluminium fuel tanks.I also think it looks shitty with those naked wheels.
@Blackearthexcavationandtiling2 жыл бұрын
15- 20 mph max on gravel - that's our rule .. don't have much issues on pavement ... fenders are a pain in the rear, just something else to work around ...

Wilson's are better built but I've always liked Temte more for some reason.
