Ernest Everett Just was born on August 14, 1883, in Charleston, South Carolina. to Charles Frazier and Mary Matthews Just. His father died in 1887 and soon after the Just family moved to James Island, off the coast of South Carolina. His early education consisted of attending the small school that his mother founded and directed. Just left James Island at the age of twelve to attend what is now South Carolina State College. In 1899, Just graduated at age 15 with a certification allowing him to teach in any black school in SC. An intelligent and inquisitive student, Just was not interested in teaching as a career. So he traveled north and started his studies at Kimball Union Academy in New Hampshire before enrolling at Dartmouth College, studying biology, history, literature, and the classics.

Let's just set the record straight. The late great Honorable Brother Dr. Ernest Everett Just was a brilliant mind of his own. He did not join an organization. He was the faculty advisor of 3 underclassmen who he helped found the greatest fraternity of noble like minded men in the world. He is one of 4 of revered & beloved founders of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. Bro. Just is known as the black Apollo of Science. He set the bar for Omega men.

Imagine if America invested in the black population way back and allowed them to attend any school and get any job they are qualified in. if people as brilliant as jeff could not even find a job in the USA and had to go to europe. America has lost generations of black innovators and thousands of Jeffs. . The USA would be greater . More innovations and a better America overall

his fraternity has nothing to do with his intelligence he just joined men organization and all these people are saying thats why he is noted his org not his BRILLIANCe? smh Just defied he was science something many blacks did not like do or understand that were not bold enough to have his courage seek curiosity of it! Omega had nothing to do with that! its just an organization that only those apart will only ever understand not a big deal
