Jessica Walker those are amalgamated tribes now. Blackfeet were a part of the Lenni Lenape that move to the plains. They were not Mongolian or Eurasians.

"Blackfoot" is the English translation of the word siksika, which means "black foot." It refers to the dark colored moccasins the people wear. Some Blackfoot people are annoyed by the plural "Blackfeet," which is obviously an anglicization. But most Blackfoot people accept both terms. "Blackfoot" is more commonly used in Canada, and "Blackfeet" is more commonly used in the United States

Man this is awesome. I'm not 100% sure, but I'm either Blackfoot or Cherokee. I do know that I'm German, Norwegian, French, either Blackfoot or Cherokee (I'm not sure which), and possibly Italian. I am proud to say that I have so many different cultures running through my veins. I just wish I new more about my Native American background. From what I do know, is that my... great grandfather? I think it's my great grandfather. Anyways, he married a Blackfoot or Cherokee princess. Wish I new more.

both, the Blackfeet ARE Piegan/Pikunii/Pikuni. "Blackfoot" is a direct translation of Siksika, our Confederacy name. I don't know why they plualized it. You can't pluralize "Siksika" in the Blackfoot language. We are the Piegan/Blackfeet band, the Kainah/Blood band and the Siksika/Blackfoot Proper band, but we're all Siksikawa (Blackfoot People) and we call ourselves Niitsitapi (the Real People) traditionally

@SaiKoSeSu my brother you know your heritage you are American, I personally have so many different nationalities in me including 3 different Native American tribes (Commanche, Blackfeet and Cherokee) it would be silly of me to think of myself as anything but American nor would I want to. My Grandmother a full blood Blackfeet was a very proud American and would not use the term Native American, just American. A ship does not sail on yesterday's wind.
