I'm half German, and have been to Germany multiple times since I was a baby. I always think of the forests and going mushroom hunting with my family. Beautiful video. Thank you for sharing!

what spectacular and beautiful just wonderful; It gives joy to know that the Germans take care of their country their forests and the ecosystem
@JornSilverblade6 жыл бұрын
Well... i wish that would be true. Fact is: There are 76% less insects than just several years ago, hundreds of species are disappearing and going extinct in Germany. The situation in the forests is a bit better, but we are far away from a healthy ecosystem.

Kai Schablewski I read that in 10 years , Germany has increased forest areas by 3 percent through planting trees... Recycling of wastes reaches 70 or 80 percent ...
@studiodevelopers24674 жыл бұрын
Kai Schablewski Yes the Germans are good. So sad that at one time they fell for Hitler. They have paid the price. And they know. Now they are so anti war. Its the opposite now. Its a hippie culture.

Germany has long lost its truly wild forests so is much of Western Europe the only truely undisturbed forests in Europe are restricted to a few patches in Romania and European Russia.
@waelfaraj67056 жыл бұрын
I Read that Germany is replanting trees in many areas and increasing the areas of the forests there...
@rippspeck5 жыл бұрын
+Wael Faraj Yes, that is true. None the less, those forests aren't truly wild. Mankind has shaped them for generations and experts can still tell. The last few remaining patches of truly untouched forests in Germany have to be in the mountains, most likely the Alps and Harz. These ranges contain the last few remaining unincorporated areas in this country so I'm sure there hard to reach and do forestry in.

" European wilderness" ? 😂😂 Surely you jest. I live in the black forest of Germany and can assure you there is no such thing as wilderness in lower Europe. If you go for a hike in germany, france , austria , etc , you will run into a village the moment you THINK you are in the wilderness.
@BlackForestCollective6 жыл бұрын
Hi Sirios Star, our understanding of wilderness is a largely untouched natural landscape. This is given by the "beech forests". That's why we can speak of "European Wilderness"
@siriosstar47896 жыл бұрын
Fair enough. I think i need to adjust my meaning of the word "Wilderness " since i'm now living in Germany. I'm use to vast open spaces where you rarely ever see another person for days. I wil come to your park and have a look . Thanks.
@medonaser-darwish10555 жыл бұрын
Sirios Star that’s true! I lived in Freiburg for almost two years and have always gon hiking in the black forest only for my journey to be disturbed by villages, remains of human intervention like stacks of tree trunks, cable cars, hunting cabins, sometimes waste & plastic and even tombstones let alone all the giant crosses & windmills. There truly isn’t much wilderness in the Black Forest as there is man made parks & mountain biking trails. I could never hike for more than 30 minutes before I end up trying to cross a highway. It’s sad...

Sadly those woods will be down in about 50 years. Beeches in that size evaporate bout 300 - 600 liters of water each day. Hot and long periods without rain the last years are just the beginning i think. We always had hot and nice summers but there were regularly enough rainy days...

Great advice, especially true for the South. If you're a tourist, look for the Autan brand products in yellow/red packaging. All pharmacies and a lot of stores in Germany carry this brand. If you're familiar with _Off!_ repellant by S.C. Johnson, it's literally the same stuff.
