BLACKHAWK PILOT SPEAKS OUT, DID CHOCKWE QUALIFY, WHAT IS TYREE UPSET ABOUT AND MORE? (Ep

1- Retired Army National Guard Blackhawk Pilot & personal friend Justin Thompson joins me in studio to discuss and breakdown the recent tragedy in Washington DC where a Military Blackhawk helicopter collided mid-air with a commercial jet that left 67 people dead. We address all of the internet conspiracy theories from a respectful perspective, take calls and answer as many online questions and text as time allowed. I personally think this whole hour was one of the most informative hours of radio I've ever done in the 915 shows I've done since being on WYAB.
2- State Rep. Fred Shanks joins us for the better part of hour #2 to discuss the uproar a new bill he dropped caused over the weekend when Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones went to X to voice his displeasure with the potential of the Governor being able to remove sheriff's who do not enforce the bill. It's a bill dealing with immigration, collecting fee's & housing illegal immigrants in county jails.
3- Fred and I also discuss his "Chemical Castration" bill that gives judges the ability to add an extra layer of punishment for predators that sexually assault children 13 years of age or younger.
4- I take the last segment of the show and give my 2 cents on Jackson Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba showing up at 4:59pm with no time to spare Friday 01/31/25 to qualify for re-election dressed like he was dressed by a single mom in attempt to make him look like the father that left him (it's a meme, iykyk). He actually looks like a wannabe rapper or dope boy who's been out all night.

I had a client that owns a helicopter and he took me for a ride around Dallas area. Went over Jerry world and then headed North. When we were approaching DFW Airport he said he would request permission to fly north up the Airport’s “Spine Road”. The Toll road that goes between the two N/S runways - he said he’d never been granted permission This time he did. As we got close to the North end we were going to bank East and follow I635 back to Garland. With South wind aircraft were coming in from the North two by two for the 2 N/S runways ATC asked if we could see American xxx at our 2:00 and he said he had visual- ATC then asked American xxx if he had visual on our helicopter at his 5:00 &he acknowledged he did - we were instructed to bank right at our altitude and fall in below AND behind the American. We could hear all communications and I assume American could as well. ATC at Regan should have given some direction to the BH eg the CJR at your 11:00 et al

No matter how you cut it, helo was at too high elevation and off flight path. No situational awareness of landing planes flight path.And..ATC should have stated clock location of plane helo pilot said had in sight.

They took 48 hours to clean it up. She was a BEGINNER. 450 hours over 6 years is laughable to be in that corridor. The most tightly controlled airspace in the nation. The permitted flight ceiling on the Potomac River near Reagan National Airport is 200 feet - a crucial ceiling for keeping the heavy flow of military helicopters safely clear of the steady commercial aircraft traffic into and out of the nation's capital. She was awarded medals but not for flying.. she's never been deployed or seen combat. Her medals were woke related. Just because she's LGBT that doesn't make her qualified. She did not have the proper training for that flight path. Pilot was not her main job. Shame on the army!!! 67 souls perished including her. She FROZE. IT'S a lie that you can't see out of a blackhawk. They can see from 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock... no way did she not see the plane. An experienced pilot could have maneuvered that helicopter in seconds. It's very capable air craft. Pure incompetence. In 2024 there were 15 class A military mishaps. The record is 16 back in 2014... thanks Obama

I agree but I’m confused to why the other crew didn’t see anything either? Also why do we only hear a male voice on the communication to ATC? Shouldn’t the pilot be talking if they are the ones flying? Or is that the co-pilots responsibility?

id be very surprised if the qualifications are the same no matter the person who is testing . without saying what govt agency im very familiar with, I know first hand that where i worked had different standards for the same job between men and women ...physical standards

The pilot seems to have been a political appointee since she served as the social events coordinator for Joe and Jill Biden. It appears that she was far too inexperienced flying to be the pilot outside of a busy airport at night. But I wish that ATC had thought to relay to the helo that there was a plane at 12 o'clock similar altitude and only a few feet away and to immediately take evasive action.

Look up “Annual Proficiency and Readiness Training (APART)”. She was flying a training mission, just left the White House. I’m guessing she was given a waiver for her proficiency training while working for the White House.

@michelle8190 We are not buying 'incompetent/accident' when a superbly equipped military assault weapon takes out a lumbering commercial flight on a clean well-known airport approach. To make such a claim invites scorn and derision on our first lines of national defense. The COG crowd does not mess around. They do not get the benefit of any doubt. You now say WH; I've heard Langley and Ft Belvoir. Which is it? Whyy the obfuscation?

Civilian pilots have to go through a screening process, to even be able to fill out the paperwork to request to fly in the airspace over the Capitol. Military still has to warn ATC before flying a mission over/around the Capitol. ATC has a list of every plane that is allowed in that airspace that day or a fighter will escort them out. I think ATC saw 1 helicopter was left to fly that night, military typical training, the unit is familiar with the air traffic, so it is totally understandable where the boss let the helicopter guy go home early. I put 0% fault on ATC. Military pilots are expected and mostly are completely professional, the standard of professionalism. I don’t know what donkey show is going on at the DC NG. Not acceptable on any level.
