Awesome piece! I love old gen Black Hawk Gears!

Appreciate it, yeah I am a fan of the older Blackhawk stuff as well. Especially the older OD Green kit that the British SBS were issued.

Such a classic piece of kit.

It really is, I think RRVs get kind of slept on now. Everyone wants to have a Micro rig and the like but the RRV just hits different.

@@Muddy_Reviews I do chuckle when I see someone using a micro rig but then having 15 lb of gear on a battle belt...

I'm willing to bet Christian Craighead made the UKSF Impressionist grow, along with Ian McCollum from Forgotten Weapons when he did an overview of the UKSF's L119A1.
@Muddy_Reviews Жыл бұрын
Ohh absolutely, I have been doing UKSF stuff on and off since around 2008...I just haven't fully committed until recently LOL. They ability to actually build a decent L119A1 now is also a contributing factor IMHO. With Angry Gun making proper suppressor and Flashhiders and G&P making STORM grips L119A1 and even A2 builds are much easier now.

i own one of this on tan and it was truly a hassle to fit specially the straps, it is almost imposible to shoulder correctly ( its for airsoft so aiming correctly can be subjective) but i love it (after some reversible modifications), im planning on buying the back panel to add a camelbak or some kind for summer days.
@Muddy_Reviews Жыл бұрын
I can see that, my son is in the slimmer side and he it is a hassle to fit, for me being broader I found it to fit pretty well over all. But it is still not the best fitting rig I have worn lol. I liked running a back panel with an RRV itnwas nice. I haven't tried the Blackhawk version but I did the Eagle and loved it.

Have you tried out the back panel for the Blackhawk rig? I'm tempted to get one since the RRV back panels are almost impossible to get.
@Muddy_Reviews Жыл бұрын
I have not tried the Blackhawk back panel, I however have used the rear platebag from an MBAV with an RRV and that was pretty nice.
@RobbyWonder Жыл бұрын
Hey Muddy, you weren't wrong about the RRV's being expensive! I just bought a Blackhawk RRV for $150, lol! I mainly just wanted to create a Metal Gear Solid 4 kit for Airsoft, but man I didn't realize how rare these rigs are! Not sure if I wanna use it now! Lol! I may just use the rig because I went as far to get the other pieces for my Old Snake build! Man, I just don't know how to feel, lol! Thanks for the awesome review!!! I'll post up the final build on my channel when I am out in some games!

Rob, yeah, it is kind of nuts to be frank. You would think these would be dirt cheap now, lol. But dude, get out there and use that bad boy.you spent 150$ bones on it let the world see that sick kit! I for one, am looking forward to it as it sounds dope as all ge out!

I just got one of the enhanced commando rrvs for 50 shmeckles on ebay. Then ordered a back panel for another 10, both brand new in original packaging with tags still on it. There should be more left if anyone is looking for one but id hurry before they get bought up lol

For the plate?
@BlackoutPatriot Жыл бұрын
I would think it would be cheaper for Blackhawk to stitch the straps instead of using buckles
@Muddy_Reviews Жыл бұрын
You would think, I am not 100 percent sure what the reason was behind the decision of utilizing the buckles.other than integration with the rear panel without need for a special strap set up like the Eagle Industries.
