Hey Audrey, I thought that too at first but after watching other extractions I think these clients will fair a tad better. Firstly, they are young and those little nicks should heal quite well. She also isn't squeezing the living daylights out of their skin trying to get the the contents of the pore to go through the tiniest of holes. For me as long as they use antiseptics and they don't get any infections they should be OK. Take care, Marie

Marie Streeting true! She’s not over doing the squeezing. But the needle insertion + rip combo has me nervous. Other esthetician insert the needle into the pore to probe and pull out straight without causing bleeding so it’s more that part of it I’m questioning. I scar pretty easily and was still trying to heal scarring from my teens well into my 20s so I’m half projecting lol. I also wasn’t seeing a derm or esthi so I’m sure not having pro medical help worked against me.

sparky10901 yep it is ,it is a .35 mm needle .the end of the needle has a slanted opening that has a serrated edge on one side( which is what helps her pull the contents out) the average pore size is . 25 -.40mm.asian skins tend to have larger pores ,hence greasier skin and also why their skin doesn’t age as fast as Caucasian skin

How do you come to that conclusion? I think that’s insulting to loan and her customers ,I’m sure if that was the case then customers wouldn’t come back! They are not wells that fill lol.If you squeeze hard then there is danger of hyperpigmentation ,thread veins and bursting the hair follicle which then drives the contents further down .i have to have my spots pricked as they are under the skin then squeezed carefully ,then they clear themselves up. This is only part of the treatment as she cleanses and treats as well.Think of the magnification , what comes out is very small .i wonder you keep watching if it annoys you

This is only the beginning of the treatment. They will need to take medication and have follow up visits to have clear skin. It's too prevent infection and scarring/discoloration. Certain ethnicities are more prone to hyperpigmentation than others.

That, folks, is called job security. There's no way the skin will clear up with that much stuff left behind. Hope you are the cheapest in the area... So sad.

That "stuff" is sebum. The body constantly produces it to lubricate the skin and provide nutrition to the hairs growing in the folicles. The folicles will keep filling up with it, no matter what you do. If they produce too much, it can plug the pores, and cause whiteheads (closed comedones) or blackheads (open comedones). If a pore gets blocked with dirt and dead skin cells, pressure will build up, causing inflammation and infection (inflamed cyst, AKA zit). Blackheads and whiteheads might need to be cleaned out, but as soon as you do, they'll start filling up again. Inflamed cysts should never be popped or squeezed, because it just causes more inflammation, spreads the infection by spreading the bacteria-laden pus, and causes scarring.

Can I just say that this is definitely one of the better videos. Loan was more steady and gentle with the extractions. In some of Loan's other videos, she can be very rough with the extractions and I really feel for the patient. Everyone always comments that she does not empty pores, but you can do a lot of damage if you continuously squeeze an area and I have even seen another video (not loan) where the skin was cut right through with pressure from the nail. Remember we don’t see all the treatments that she gives to the skin, we are only interested in the popping part lol

Hey guys, FYI asked my derm why they don’t empty the pore and it’s to prevent further irritation/scarring to the patients face. Like everything there’s a limit, so you do what you can and come back to complete the job. When you put excessive pressure it can cause extra unnecessary damage.
