Just when you thought that summer 2016 had delivered in every conceivable way… here’s Solarstone to make absolutely certain of it!
This year’s already seen the Pure Trance master lift dancefloors and gift radio shows and streaming platforms with Lost Hearts - his spring-released, chart-scaling anthem. Cut from much the same harmonic cloth as ‘Hearts’, early September heralds Herald - its seasonally sonic, summer-concluding compadre!
If you’re an extra-avid observer of the Solar-verse and Herald sounds just a tad familiar, well your ears don’t deceive you! The track has held a longer-than-average place in Solarstone’s ID arsenal - ever since in fact he debuted it at the frontend of his Transmission, Prague set, 18 months back.
Sinuously powerful in undertone, melodically ebullient in its overarching top-end, it’s also unendingly epic in nature and of course classically Solarstone in cut. Along Herald’s glide path you’ll find powerfully struck strings, aerodynamic synths, fluid FX and a slipstream of calling female harmonics.

Open your eyes. Drink in the massive, open and utterly serene space that you see. Rolling fields all the way to the horizon. The sky is deep, deep blue, and there are a few fluffy clouds here and there. A gentle breeze makes you aware of your skin. Your bare feet curl and you feel cold dew-drops on the grass. The grass is thick, and deep, and lush, and so green it shocks you to look at. It must be early - the sun has barely crested in the east. Inhale deeply. Earth. A bit of jasmine. And raw, unfiltered life. Your eyes find activity wherever they roam. There are butterflies playing in the air. A couple, lost in each others' eyes, have made their own universe to live in a short way away. In fact, the hills are dotted with people - some exploring with purpose, some meandering peacefully, and some contentedly sprawled on the grass. There is an incredible sense of peace. There is no urgency in this place - only a sense of carefree contentedness. A smile curls your lips - not a quick smile, but a welling up from within of hope and of relief - it starts imperceptibly and grows until your face is radiant. You break into a run, the vivid earth rushing up to meet you, and you rushing out to meet it. It's a beautiful day.

Is there a mix of this version without the... 'Not trying to be a jerk, here... Annoying fading/volume effect? It's just totally screwing-up the mix. I understand he's trying to get you to jump, but my Dragon jumps on Her own. I'd like to hear the music. That playing with the fader was NOT a good idea... When I first heard this song I was entranced and my Dragon was really wanting to dance, but then the weird fader thing kinda' ruined the mood/moment and I couldn't finish listening to the song in that setting. There's a remix that does NOT have the fader effect, but it's missing 'the Heart' of the Club Mix, so it's not as good. 'Otherwise, this is Trance Gold! Please remove the bouncy fader! It's NOT a good idea! 'Love ya'!
