Can someone explain to me why at every other casino I’ve ever played at the dealers first card is always face down but here it is not. Even if you look up the proper way to deal black jack it states dealers first card is face down.

It differs per casino! I’ve noticed that as well! May be an East and West coast difference. I know the hard rock deals Face up.
